I would buy the following:
P51D
Spitfire
Hurricane
And a Huey!

I reckon people would probably work it out! If I won a large amount I would give my close mates a decent amount each to pay off their mortgages etc, would mean they would all be better off in the long run?

I want:

Lambo murcie
Zonda
Enzo
Mac f1
F40
Mac 650s
Fez speciale
Pork 911 gt3
Exige cup
Range rover
Evora

That'll do for now
Keeping that lot insured, Taxed, maintained and fuelled for the 1 in 9 sunday you drive each one will come to a fair bit. IMO 2 or 3 cars max is more than enough.

... I dont think I could do my current job though if I had several million in the bank, I have to go into work now because I have bills to pay, doing it when I dont need to wouldn't happen and I think that may cause a problem, so, basically I am happy with my lot, so current lot with a day a week extra spare and a million quid, perfection I reckon.
If I ever win enough to retire. I'll not do any paid work. Simply because by me being employed means I'm taking a job off the market that someone out there NEEDS far more than me to cover their living costs. I'd have to find something to do, but not sure what.

So if you were to buy £7m worth of tickets, if you didn't win the jackpot but did win a lot of other prizes, what chance if breaking even?
Technically (as with any type of gambling) you can't break even by covering all of the possibilities because of what's known as the "house advantage".

This is compounded further on the Lottery because only around 47% of the ticket sale price actually goes into the prize fund. The rest goes towards paying for running the lottery (4%) profit (1%) with the remainder going into the charity pot.

The only way to break even (or come out up) on the lottery by buying all possible combinations is when there is a significant rollover - and even then you are taking a massive gamble that you are the only winner and therefore don't have to share the money.

how can someone be undeserving of a lottery win, when it's complete chance? It's not God or the Cosmos conspiring against you, you know.

Congratulations. You're this years winner of the "Most Tediously Predictable Post" award.

BTW - a tax isn't optional, whereas a lottery ticket is. I bet the bloke mentioned earlier with £108m feels like a right fking retard.
indeed. Presumably any self-righteous dick with this view would still utter the pearl of enlightenment to a jackpot lottery winner, and then watch as they fking laugh and laugh, and then throw a handful of money in their miserable jealous face.

If I won (God, if you're listening, I don't want much, maybe a million...) I would embark on some otherwise pointless automotive projects. For example, I'd put an M57 engine in my E34, buy back my old Triumph and do a full stripped back to the metal restoration and then sympathetically upgrade it (Electric windows, central locking, period looking but actually has MP3 stereo), buy my GF the Audi TT she really wants.

I'd also extend my house and help out my family with things to make their lives easier. Oh and buy my dad an E34 touring because he likes driving my saloon but would really like a touring.

He hasn't bought another car yet, but has paid off all the families mortgages etc.
Think a car would be first on my list.

My colleague's dad (in his 70s) won the lottery and kindly decided to pay off his children's mortgages. Then they all got upset because the mortgages were different values. He ended up leaving his wife and moving to Spain to open a bar with a twenty something gold digger. hehe

Not surprised they were upset. Just give them each an equal sum of money. Or nothing at all. Treat them equally. You can't give one child more than another just because they are in more debt.

Bloke sounds like a tit.

Yes, I agree completely.

He probably just thought to pay off the mortgage as it's a phrase everyone uses, without thinking it might be an issue that they were all different. hehe

I think my mums friend has done it such a way that they all get the same amount in the end.
They also have a desperately ill sister who is battling cancer so I don't think arguing over money is their main focus at the moment.

I'd be happy with 4 cars if I won the jackpot.

M5 for me
V8 Range Rover for the wife
F40
Delorean

I'd probably buy a 4 bedroom house with a double garage big enough for the F40 and Delorean, that way the 2 boys have a bedroom each and I have a spare room for an office.

I couldn't sit around all day, so I'd probably take some time off work to travel with the family and then I'd start flying lessons to become a pilot, with the intention of getting enough experience to fly for a major airline. It's never been about the money, so couldn't care less how much it paid.

I've always fancied living in America or New Zealand too, so that's probably something I'd seriously look into doing.

I'd also give some money to family which would cover all their debts and me and my 2 closest friends, made a promise years ago, where if any of us won, we'd buy their favourite cars. So it would be a Camero SS for one and a Defender for the other.

Im more confused by the inclusion of honda civics on that list TBH, if you owned the other cars on that list you certainly wouldnt be wanting to plonk yourself into a max power special. must just be me.

That is simply a list of cars I have at one time or another lusted over, I'd need a warehouse to keep them in but that'd be fine

Why would you not include honda civics? Many super car owners have cars that you just think 'why?' well because it's their money and they wanted one, what other reason could you possibly need :s
