Sexlife as parents..frequency. what's 'normal'?

The problem when you compare yourself to other couples is that you all have different lives, shift workers, physical jobs etc so really as longs as you are both happy in your relationship that's what's important, plus if your wife is to tired try to do more to take the strain off

I'm hoping some of the frequency might be balanced / offset with the time you've been together?

Me and Mrs M have been with each other for 20 years this year, but have two 3 and under (3 and 1.5), once a month is normal I would say. Children knacker us + sap so much time that we its hard to keep that 'closeness' you had before kids, at least in our case. However, after 20 years I feel my persuading her to try 'up the bum' is falling on receptive ears.

At least no more nippers would be a cert.

Used to be 3 or 4 times a week before the little was born. He's 2 and a half now, it was 6 months before we got back in the saddle, plus 3 months before! Ouchy.

Now it's once a week, twice occasionally if I'm lucky. 3 weeks a month of course.

The wife is just so much more knackered these days. She's got a tougher job than before, a longer commute and some health issues that kicked off 'cos of pregnancy for which she's taking drugs for. Said drugs make her lethargic a lot.

usually it averages about once a week (I'm 43, she's 46, two kids 8 & 5). main problem is that she doesn't 'do' sex at night, it is nearly always morning, so Ceebeebies is an absolute godsend.

Saying that, must be a bumper week as it was last thursday evening, friday morning, saturday lunchtime, monday night, wednesday night and then again this morning.

It's like I've won the lottery!




Mind you, that's probably my ration til easter all used up

I think after childbirth, they tend to be +60 oversized on the bore front. Compression is certainly down in any event lol

Rebore is the least of his worries, if he doesn't get any at all he'll end up overusing his wankel, they cost a fortune to get re-tipped

It all depends on how our daughter sleeps. She went through a phase of sleeping all night and waking up at a sensible time so we were at it every couple of days. when she was waking up many times a night it was once every 6 weeks...
