It gets better! banghead

Compensation: Mr Rolfe is trying to claim a £1,000 payout from his local council because he claims they took too long in providing him with a larger home for his family - the Local Government Ombudsman agrees - but the council says they have 'better things to spend money on'.

Yes but who cares he got a few quid after some endless battles with the council

Who even wants to live in some hovel of a house like that on a housing estate ?

Who even wants his life or to have even been near the hippos that bore his sprogs ?

It's a typical dm story.

It's not that anyone wants to live in his st house. It's the greed and sheer ignorance of the bd that demands more money from the council for being slow, screw him he can wait, want a bigger house ten go a goddamn earn it. grrr!

Nobody does, but nobody wants their hard earned tax payments being used to keep the fat fker either.

Exactly, I get to work at 7:45 and I'm there until 18:00, over 10 hours a day every day and at the end of the month I get st loads of my salary taken off me to pay for tossers sitting on their arses.

I live on a new build and it makes me boil that I'm dragging my arse out of bed at 6am and -2 on a cold January morning to pay for chardonnay over the road and her daughter destiny, all while she's supposed to be single and I can clearly see some baseball wearing tosspot sitting on his sofa smoking his arse off or teasing the staffy.

My neighbour has been a Police Officer covering some of the more "council" areas of Manchester for over 20 years. She says that a lot of her "customers" are kids (or grandkids) of people she was dealing with 20 years ago & the cycle never gets broken.

Agreed no amount of money would make me want to live his life he is welcome to it.
Nothing will happen because once there are children involved all bets are off its a golden ticket.
Unless as a society we are going to take Children away from these people at birth this is what will happen and I cannot see any authority removing children from a family home can you imagine the media hype

Nothing of much significance is likely to happen or ever be allowed to happen...

For every problem family there is a "crew" of behind the scenes staff...Social Workers/Housing Officers/
Benefits Officers/Housing Repair guys/ Minibus drivers to ferry the kids to special school...
to name a few. All these folks then need back-up themselves..Managers/Team Leaders/Supervisers/Offices/
Depots & Stores..the list goes on.

Too many jobs and pensions at stake for anyone to make any serious effort to change the system,
lots of hot air and empty promises from well meaning M.P's and the like but any change???

Sorry for such a depressing post..

You're spot on there, it's an industry.

These people are being farmed by local authorities to keep their ever increasing empire in work.

Remark earlier about aftermarket DRLs. I saw a car today (in the dark) with sidelights, foglights and aftermarket DRLs on.

Then I noticed it was a Rover 25.

Which leads me to:

Any <20 year old Rover. Council as you like.

Yes, but can't be too many left now (unless you meant later shape model).
I wonder if they'll ever hold the same wow factor as a jellymould Sierra does now?
I think an E36 BMW is de rigueur for the full council. A maroon 318i with a handful of 'upgrades', such as M3 mirrors and 'racing exhaust'.
And then sold on ebay as "318i M3 replica not 325i 328i ////M" or similar.
