Double barrel 1st names. Billie Jo, Beverly Anne etc. That and spelling your 1st name differently because it's 'younique' innit.
Amy becomes Aimee, Natasha Tashaa etc.
I work with a very nice young lady who I thought was called Emily. I was wrong , her name is Emerley.

Probably been posted but:

B&M shop
Asda

Both these shops are on a complex near my work and some of the creatures these places bring out of hiding is unreal.

Just where did they shop before?

Just having a chat with the wife about the youngest's boyfriend, I think it is apt for this thread; the wife mentioned that he doesn't close his knife and fork when he has finished his meal; very council.

Possibly a bit council of you for not noticing it yourself?

I'm all over table manners like a hawk.

Oh, I had noticed; I didn't want to come over as a snob so I hadn't mentioned it; my daughter does close her knife and fork though.

I don't understand that, so you're obviously foreign. Therefore I'll do this in a proper Brit way: EAT NICELY YOU fkING HEATHEN. smile

And I learned something new - the "resting position" when eating in a restaurant...

Though there is a lot of pretension around food. Providing someone doesn't talk with their mouth full and is polite, I'm not too worried. I grew up in an austere "no taking at meal times" Victorian-esque household so I've rebelled.
