Double-barrelled surnames are either old-money or the product of so-called common law unions. Such extremes!

Balderdash! That is a fking farcical and erroneous assertion.

Buying fuel from a supermarket petrol station. smile
Tesco Momentum is actually a pretty good fuel.

I've been using it interchangeably with Shell VPower and if anything the Momentum holds more aggressive timing at the higher boost levels (according to data logs).

I agree that Tesco is council though.
I would say the supermarket council scale is as follows. Independent farmers market/farm shop > Waitrose > M&S > Sainsbury's > ALDI/LIDL > Tesco > Asda.

Nothing says benefits like Tesco and Vauxhall.

Most people swear at some time or other, if only to express frustration or annoyance. "Council" will use profanity as an everyday idiom, quite probably without realising they're doing so.

An example - "I'm going to the f*cking shops - I need some f*cking fags."

I don't think non-Council people use swear words in that manner. They only use them on cosidered occasion.

Have we had wishing your friends or family members a Happy Birthday via a can of spray paint, a white sheet and a bridge?

I'd put Morrisons on par with Tesco and Co-op above Morrisons. Spar I'm not sure about.

I did spot a couple of proper council ladies hitting Waitrose at lunchtime. Think they were going for their free coffee and to steal some toilet roll from the wash room.

Most of the girls on Tinder.

Nearly every profile is an overweight, bright orange, tattoo'd thing with a trout pout and massive, drawn on eyebrow... And they'll invariably describe themselves as "trainee hairdresser/beauty therapist and proud mummy"

My late father was Charles.
Far too posh.
When first dating my mother he said his name was Ray.
Much closer to his working class, postman, roots.
Known as Ray for the rest of his life.

I shop at Sainsbury's/Waitrose/M&S in my Vauxhall and get petrol from BP (for the Nectar points innit), where does that put me on the council scale? No benefits here either.

Was asked to do the photography at a wedding. The bride and groom wore the roughly correct attire, except both wore sandals. The reception included a white chocolate fountain, and I still have the picture of a guest licking his plate clean.

The wife's cousin married the roughest woman you could ever set your eyes on; she was ugly, fat, rough, common and a horrible person, I distinctly remember; at the toast, she had a champagne flute full of blue WKD.
