My mother shops at TK Max. Is it permitted to shop there in a 'so posh that it's ironic' type way?
Only if she views TK MAXX as some kind of charity shop for the less well off, and she's buying for someone else.ReaperCushions said:

A lot of stick for Superdry clothes, but what about the budget version of those by the name of Tokyo Laundry? I've got a few items by them, mainly from TK Maxx (is that council too?), and they look to be in a similar style to Superdry just a lot cheaper...
I regularly shop at TKMaxx, so no, definitely not council.See also 'designer outlets' especially in the north west (Cheshire oaks), white range rovers on finance and orange faces. Also seen on Orlando holidays, and having 'cheeky nandos'.
Sorry.
Popeyewhite,
Thank you!
It's the bloody family, you know? Always letting me down. Even as she approaches her eightieth decade, she goes and shops in bloody TKMAX!
Where do we stand on charity shops? The people in them are either a) poor or b) old-money minted. They both love a bargain. Personally I assiciate more with the latter but I have the readies of the former....! (Bloody mother's fault)

Branded clothing full stop. It's like 'Hey I'm wearing these expensive clothes and I am not council because I buy this expensive branded garb...' etc
So nothing branded (Berghaus for example) and nothing un/own branded (Primark/F&F etc) as both are "council"anything we can wear with being labelled?

I'm afraid it's very council. Clothes from brands that no one wants (bright colors, odd sizes) at bargain prices.. No where better to get a bright green Ralph Lauren polo with huge yellow horse logo.
See also 'designer outlets' especially in the north west (Cheshire oaks), white range rovers on finance and orange faces. Also seen on Orlando holidays, and having 'cheeky nandos'.
Sorry.
Don't forget that the vast majority of their stuff is own branded stuff.See also 'designer outlets' especially in the north west (Cheshire oaks), white range rovers on finance and orange faces. Also seen on Orlando holidays, and having 'cheeky nandos'.
