Apostrophe misuse, proper council.

Much as it irks me to defend the old Blimey Crikeys, they can't possibly be deemed to be council as they refuse to live in a house, even if the local authority will provide one! smile
Apologies for my punctuation faux pas.

That said, earlier in the thread someone posted that caravans are council. Thus, by default, gypsies MUST be council wink

Not being able to tell the difference between Gypsies and Irish Travellers.

Also thinking that Romani are from Romania.

Don't kid yourselves. I deal with lots of gypsies who are in social housing. Typically still with caravans in the garden , horses on council land nearby. If yr ever feeling brave, try going into a local authority gypsy site. You've got to have some balls.

Anyway to pull this thread back round. My observations from a week with such people.

Poor dental hygene.

Prison / home made tats on yr arm. But you're female and 80. .... How rough. ???

Smoking like a chimney sat on yr scooter outside yr sheltered scheme.

Smoking like a chimney sat in yr wheelchair with yr newly amputated leg, taken off due to smoking.

Smoking like a chimney sat in a special hospital chair, paralysed from the neck down with a Tupperware box full of loose fags to aid your speed and capacity to smoke.

This week appears to have had a theme for me

Going down the shop in pairs on mobilty scooters with hi-vis jackets on. Usually with lots of tat attached. Flags, teddy bears, tinsel making it look like a mobile baby shrine.

This rings true about the smoking, as my family on my fathers side are real top hole council.
Cigarettes, cider, tattoos? Plenty of cash for that.
Toothpaste? Toothbrushes? Nah, not necessary.

Granted, but you are presenting yourself badly. That may be your choice and your intention, but we reserve the right to think badly of you because of it.

Wrong.

Austinsmirk offers real insight into the council mentality.

If you want to pick him up on typos, go somewhere else or stop being a dick.

When at a large social gathering, I care about my children, I cannot get drunk and ignore/shout at them, I try hard to make sure that my behaviour doesn't impede others' enjoyment. I still have fun but not the drunken, carefree debauchery that you describe.

Not entirely sure what I'm trying to say here!
Simple small word, manners. The council crowd don't have manners.
