So. Much. Council.

Not on the Isle of Wight by any chance? If not, there's a VERY similar one there, doing the usual first gear, high revs cruises past the local secondary school at kicking out time.

Awful, awful image, no matter how capable the car. I just could/would never want to be seen dead in one.
A pint says it's not even an RS...

I can't quite make out the plate though. R555 FDX or RS55 FDX?
It is an RS. Was at a show I attended at Santa Pod a few months ago yuck

Interesting. I'd say the reverse could quite easily also be true.

Council struggle with change. Leaving the wired infrastructure of our grandfathers behind and embracing the wireless digital world is modernist and progressive.

I think we'd have to assess each landline-free household on a case-by-case basis to understand why that choice (assuming it was a choice) occurred.

Motorsport that doesn't feature corners that turn both left and right. Council.

I am at Gulliver's Land in Warrington.

The council meter is reading off the scale.

I used to work there when I was 16. It was awful, herds of fat scouse mums waddling round & letting the kids run riot. Never again!

My late grandad's neighbours have a pair of staffies. One of them is called Little Man and the garden was covered in st until my mum put a complaint in. "A bit council" is an understatement

Agreed. When pay-as-you-go mobiles came out they were a godsend to council. They invariably had landlines which had been cut off. PAYG is an equivalent to leccy card meters. (Calling it leccy is sooo council).

OK so everybody has mobiles these days, but middle-class working people have mobiles which work. Council have cracked screens and useless volume because the things been dropped during fights, dropped down the bog, dropped onto patios, dropped everywhere, mislaid, loaned to scumbag mates etc etc..

"Got no credit."

The most council of phrases.

Especially when used in conjunction with "Can't ring up the benefits office because I've.." or "I couldn't ring in sick on Saturday morning because I've...".

I've got a landline but only for the internet. I don't have an actual phone plugged in to it, mainly because I get so many bloody sales calls - even though I've been signed up with TPS. Mainly from BT. wkers.
