I know 'Asda' has been done, but how about 'shoplifting'? And then putting the pair together.... http://www.whtimes.co.uk/news/shoplifter_avoids_ja...
Asda has been done, but I think its time to mention the one that reigns sumpreme over all of them.

The one at Eastlands in Manchester, right next to Man City's ground. Its on another level to any other Asda I've been in.

Multiple family members buying the same brand new cars on finance, with borrowed downpayments and no way of paying the balloon at the end. Three members of my wife's family have recently done this (including the 18-year-old pregnant single mother who works for Mr R. McDonald) and I don't know whether to laugh or cry. Still, the dealer must have had a good couple of weeks. biggrin

That's got to represent one of the highest 'cost of motor / cost of domicile' ratios I've seen (and I've seen a few round my way - including a nearly-new Evoque on the lawn of a similarly des res). A subject worthy of a thread of its own..?

From.

The alternative is a bit, you know... wink

(I'd also suggest 'received' rather than 'got', but that's starting to split hairs.)

There's also the other side of the coin, namely the members of the landed gentry who drive modest vehicles. I had cause to visit a vast estate in Norfolk some while ago and the Viscount (who shall remain un-named) was driving around in a five year old Saab while touring his thousands of acres.

Here's a good example...

Clever media management. I bet she's got 3 Long tail F1's in her garage and a private race track in the back garden biggrin (at least I hope she has)
