Cannock. I don't think any further words are needed.

Opening a Burger King there is the equivalent of Rick Stein opening a new restaurant in a small Cotswold village.

the reason it hasn't exploded is because it is not franchised. I enquired about a franchise as i knew it would be a goldmine - alas it wasn't to be)

Franchise businesses like that 'go viral' pretty quickly and there would be one on every street corner by now if it were...
I beg to differ. Suspect the differing eating habits between US and UK consumers would mean our market would be much smaller.

The eating habits of "some areas" are equally poor, they have the same levels of processed proteins/fats and carbs, the same high sugar and additive levels and are eaten in similar quantities.
More is cooked "in house" in the uK and each country does however have different "shapes" % tastes)

Who needs Kwispy Cheweem anyway.
We are getting there smile...come on UK you can die as quick as the Yanks....come on, one last effort !

Greggs, the British Kwispy Cheweem init !

I've mentioned this before, but someone pointed out to me that we all put gravy on roast potatoes, which are also crispy.

The Chinese takeaway which I help run is currently up for sale - the prospective buyers are moving from Dublin to my area in Northern Ireland. They do not have gravy on their menu in Dublin (f*ck knows what sauce they put on their steaks and mixed grills - maybe they don't do a European menu). They don't even know how to make it.

This has reinforced my opinion that gravy on chips only belongs to the northern end of the British Isles.

Full marks for that one.

As an aside, a Krispy Kreme has just opened here in Aberdeen and you'd think Jesus himself had rocked up by the way people are carrying on about it - the queue last night was f'in vast, mmmmm overpriced donuts shipped up from Edinburgh in a van, gimme gimme gimme.

There is a Krispy Kreme "restaurant" in Guildford, there is no fuss about the place and it's never busy; been there a few years now.

I would rather have a 69p for 5, doughnut from Sainsbury's.

I was going out with an American girl way back. We went to Krispy Kreme in Buffalo NY which was unknown in the UK at the time (2001). I was astonished to see people buying a dozen donuts at a time!

I have often stood by the KK cabinet in a motorway services whilst waiting for my Good Lady to return from the loo. I can honestly say that even if they were free of charge, I would not dignify any one of the varieties by permitting them to pass my tonsils.

Ah......I......may.....have....er....become.....council. I was only storing them in the living room. Anyway, after a month I was made to take them to the dump.

My wife didn't use the term council but her opinion was in line with the comment above.

What's the view on door cards on the 3rd floor landing, and a (newish) spare wheel in the fifth bedroom in the 3rd floor? Have I ruined my neighbourhood?

Just thought of another off putting reason not to touch these things. It might just be me, but Krispy Kreme sounds like a euphemism for something awful.

No, not at all, you obviously live in a townhouse (ergo terraced and a new-ish estate with a postage stamp garden), so it can only ever be improved.

are they the ones just down the estate road from the 4 story block of "apartments" only built to fill the low cost housing quota ? The one now 90% owned and let by a housing association and the source of all the noise at night ?
