Have we had any foodstuff that is freeze-dried and requires reconstituting with hot water to become 'edible'.

I'm thinking Pot Noodles, Flavoured Ramen Noodles, Vesta Curries, Cup-a-Soups et al.

Me and my colleague were feeling a bit council the other day and decided to go buy Pot Noodles and some fresh breadcakes, to take us back to our youf's...

I quite enjoyed it, probably more nostalgia than anything, but I think I'm done for another decade. Definitely wasn't as good as it used to be though - reduced salt?

On topic - people who think its entertaining/funny/get genuinely angry arguing about the correct way to describe a breadcake/teacake/bap/barm etc.

Who gives a fk you council s - me everytime it pops up on Facebook.

Definitely a Northern thing though hehe

I did this with a colleague a few years ago (the Pot Noodle bit anyway). They were eaten while sitting in a 5 star hotel room and I found it really disappointing, I'm sure they've reduced the tasty chemical content which has had an adverse impact on the flavour.

Get the chicken ones, and add spring onion, pepper, soy sauce, and chilli. It's very pleasant lick

I take it back - I've just eaten an Original Curry flavour Pot Noodle and I quite liked it. Not brilliant but OK.

I had a Beef and Tomato one when I was about 17, was so disgusting that one has never passed my lips since.

Love it. Pink hair, perforated face, son called Jaden, from an area that pronounces "one" as "wonn", the only thing she doesn't tick the box for is "single parent".

How fat is her back? Is she a tortoise?

I would imagine a large wok is part of her ironing kit.
