Taking your shopping home in a basket rather than pay for a bag.
That is just silly. Shopping baskets as you describe are about as far from council as you can get. It could Demonstrate a social/green conscience. It certainly hints at forethought and planning. Neither features in the world of council. csd19 said:

I'd like to nominate new build estates, which are pretty much council estates for the middle class.
Bonus points for having,
More cars than parking spaces,
A front garden replaced with gravel or block paving,
One side of the street lined with cars and work vans,
These are mostly caused by the same thing - new build estates where they squeeze in as many houses as possible, instead of giving the houses a bit more room to create parking.Bonus points for having,

3-bed house? That'll be a single space on the driveway then. Until you block pave the front garden to create more parking...
And there's no arguing with that kind of thinking.

You have a non-descript white car on finance parked outside,
Being able to hear your neighbours through the walls even though your house is detached,
A white UPVC conservatory at least three quarters of the size of the garden,
Fake chimneys,
Not sure you're quite grasping the concept of council. Unless you're so upper class and out of touch with reality you've got the butler to write your posts on PH.Bonus points for having,

Either that or this thread is doing its monthly "disappear up its own arse" again.

Fair point, older houses are much better with ample parking.Bonus points for having,

My missus does this and as a result, she is now called .I have two in the back garden, I refuse to do the walk of shame back to waitrose.
However she has no issue with this, the problem being she's just lazy and doesn't bother.
I guess I'm council by association....
Possibly I am posting something already here, so forgive me if so. A Chrysler with a Bentley badge? Seriously council. Look here:-
