I don't think so, the arrival of the US Embassy is going to make it the most protected place in the UK and a Waitrose opened this month on Nine Elms Lane. I'd leave a car unlocked anywhere between M16 and the Embassy site hehe

Since it is the season to be fairy and to be of good beer I give you this:-

I go past it most days but never at night - I couldn't stand it. They started this annual event at the beginning of November. But I am sure you can show better.

Always reassuring that other countries have their feral, tasteless underclass too.

Didn't the post refer to the car, not the suburb of London?

Have we had supermarket loyalty card key fobs yet? Such a 'council' label.

Collecting points to get money off/better offers is council? Ok.

Nope, it's a long term view to making some savings so it can't be council. Council looks at "buy 2 for 7p off" type offers and thinks they are getting a bargain. Council doesn't think long term.

I used a few hundred quid of Tesco points (mostly from petrol - it's the nearest petrol station) to get About £600 off an Omega Speedmaster Professional a while ago at Goldsmiths.

If that's council, I embrace it. I quite like Tesco as a supermarket anyway

Your consideration for others is admirable, and discernibly 'non-council', if I may say so.
...yet I wear (externally silent) headphones whilst travelling to and from my professional job in the City, stranding me in the council mire.
I shouldn't worry yourself about it in the slightest, (though I seriously doubt you are).
Continue wearing them, and I will pretend not to know you when I see you, as indeed I do not know you anyway.

The point of this thread, having allowed myself to be entertained by a substantial portion of it now, would seem to have become (irrespective of the OP's intent), a place where anything that anyone particularly dislikes may be thrown into the mix, with the result being that no one is allowed to escape as being not at least 'a bit council'.

To get us all into the Christmas spirit, I wonder if there should there be a thread devoted to Festively bedecked Houses?

Maybe a small prize for the most endearing...

Thanks for that, I feel so enlightened now.
