The gardener has been digging up many clay heads and pieces in the parterre for years. Lady P is now horrified that Pushfit Towers was clearly an historic 'council' epicentre and has taken to her bed, whilst I have the forms ready to submit to appeal the Band A tax on the basis of Blight. It is however of concern that the appeal inspection will reveal our two storey wine cellar and staff accommodation which does not benefit from Planning Permission.
Hopefully I can divert them to admire my mural of a red cross on a white background on the front of the West Wing so all should end well.

Cannot remember the last time I saw somebody smoking a pipe but I cannot help but think that it would be something that the beardy hipsters would do, so not council.
Having said that the only person I know that smokes a pipe used to be a manager at a scrap yard

Nothing council about owning/running a scrap yard. It may have pastry-based lock properties, but that's not council. Council's about the world owing you a living, the misplaced sense of entitlement; not working for a living.

No trouble. Off topic but;
Not that I would actively encourage someone to begin smoking (repeating myself now), but should you take the decision, I think there are a few pipe smokers about in the The PH Cigar Thread. Good advice will save you a lot of time and money.

[Snip] (very interesting pipe stuff)

Talking of clay pipes being council. Recent building work in the garden of my 1901 built house revealed s several broken clay pipes. Clearly pipes from the builders....council at the time. I doubt it.
Clay pipes were (are in fact) very cheap, so also very working class in fairness, very often associated with the Irish navvy (and so their leprechauns in myth and legend).

I swear this is true: "a friend of mine" sometimes get the OH to dress up as Council House Bird - white lycra tube dress, white boots and hair pulled back in a pony tail. It's epic!

My neighbor had his car clamped by the DVLA for no tax.

Rather than pay the fine he's decided to break it for parts so this morning I was greeted with this lovely sight.

Council enough for you?

Very Gypsy Rose. Needs a fag and thick eyeliner though to carry it off.

Well everyone likes a bit of rough! I'm trying to convince my GF to do the same.

Also, what's council about a Jaguar S type? The very early ones (not the 60s one!!) yes, but the ones with the revised interior still seem ok to me.

I burst into a giggle at the council untaxed Focus. Excellent delivery! hehe

Not sure if concept is council, but the tell-tale stencil on the wall is prominent (I think link is public):

Well, that made me a little sick, but if they are having fun far be it from me to criticise.

The Focus is fantastic, what a way to lower the tone and prooves why most people who repsond to SOTW saying "if it breaks, part it out", probably dont.

I felt council the other day , picked my son up from his mates house, you know any gaff with "Hall" in the name is going to be good.

Could I support my learned friend on his views concerning Bristol. I have policed it, even sad to admit, lived there many years ago.

Don't get me started on the accent.
