Why do some women seem to believe that looking as though Ian Botham (in his prime of course) had just hit them in the mouth with a cricket bat?

I get that the Angelina Jolie look is popular, but she like a few other women, were born that way, which I agree can be very attractive.
What these two, and their idol Jordan, have done looks nothing like that.
It's just plain gruesome.
