Nothing. Both are council.

Yes but, queuing to wait for the pub to open isn't council though is it, is it? biggrin

I didn't read it as that - the council element was from doing the work 'on the road outside your house', nothing wrong with working on the drive. Unless you never finish it, leave it under a blue tarpaulin/leave to go green with moss/rusty etc.

Anyone who lives in a seaside resort will have seen this. They get chucked out of the B & B at 9.30am and go straight to the pub and wait for the doors to open. The women are the worst - they wait with barely disguised desperation, puffing away on a chain of fags. Kids running around, screaming. Kids get a packet of crisps and a fizzy drink whilst they wait for opening time.

Yes but this then becomes a source of entertainment for us "PH private" types as his "Mrs" will force him to sell it as he has too many projects on the go.
It then appears on Ebay in an advert full of capital letters with such cliches as- rare dont see many of these,no messers, explaining how the "breaks" need attention and it wont take anything to get an MOT on it. Aircon needs a re-gas of course.
If we are very lucky we get a picture with the aforementioned "Mrs" to either drool over as she looks "dirty" or be scathing as she is a "dog"

Okay, but, queuing to wait for the pub to open if you don't live by the seaside isn't council though is it, is it? biggrin

Almost as annoying, picking dog st up in a bag then hanging it on a tree?
Why does this appear to be the latest fad with dog owners?

They try to kid themselves that they will collect it on the way back. Not usually the council types that do this. More your all fur and no knickers type of character.

Nothing council about working on your car on the road if that is where it broke down...

Careful there are a lot of TVR owners on here who may take offence at being called 'council'! biggrin

I think with Aldi and others it depends on location and management. The two Aldi stores that are closeted to me are very different in atmosphere. One feels downbeat, tent to be untidy and the clientele sullen and subdued. The other one feels light and breezy. The staff appear to be reasonably happy in their work. Customers also tend to be good natured and easy going. One is situated amongst a large area of council/social housing. The other the local housing is less dense and more of a mixed nature.
I would agree, having frequented more than one Lidl / Aldi over time.

For me, no difference, because there isn't a snowball's chance in Hell of me ever doing either.

Actually, come to think of it, just the Grafton Centre in Cambridge.
I like the Grafton Centre as it provides a handy bit of social apartheid and therefore a valuable service to the city.
