South coast, AGAIN. Reading some of the associated news articles, that place is slipping. It used to be a lovely area, now it's full-on KyleStyle. Bognor Regis is the 21st Century Margate. Some scary stuff here

Ironically Margate is on the up. It is now the place with the fastest rising house prices in Britain. Hang in there, Bognor might get gentrified in time.Oldred_V8S said:

Except for Jaywick, Margate is probably the most run down place I've ever been to. Before long, you'll find Bradford as a home for millionaires, and Wimbledon will be the place to go if you want your wheels nicked!
(Disclaimer: Bradford may be quite nice now, and Wimbledon might be st, but they were the stereotypes that came to mind)
Bradford is actually an expensive place to live- because everyone with money lives out of the city in the rural areas/villages. So the nice areas/houses are, I'd say, expensive.
The inner city/housing estates are still terribly poor and cheap.
But its a very special unique place and generally you'd be best to avoid the city and the inner parts. Certainly don't assume a red traffic light means cars will stop.
