Please do elaborate. I think that the higher eschelons and the lower both admit to liking Clarkson. The middle classes hate him. Well, they pretend to, anyway. Seems like there's an agenda to ridicule people who wear red or mustard trousers, which is fine but is a bit of an easy target, and has been done before many times.
My points previously can be summed up as:
Thinks he knows loads about cars, but actually knows feck all because all the knowledge he gets is from Top Gear (hence the anger at the BBC sacking Clarkson)
Is massively insecure, and therefore status aware and starts threads like 'show us your coffee maker'
Spends so much time/money on stuff to impress other blokes, you start to wonder if he's in the closet
Jumps on bandwagons but not for the reasons given (e.g. superbikes are slow/council, and not because I haven't got the balls to ride one, oh no, not at all...)
