Had some shirts made in Thailand and asked the guy to monogram them on the shirt pocket.
To make sure he used the right letters I scribbled KB on a piece of paper.

Expecting a nice monogrammed result when I picked up the shirts the idiot had exactly copied my scribble on the piece of paper. biggrin

I was not a happy bunny.
I know it's wrong to laugh, but laugh anyway.
That reminds me of my father. He was working abroad and needed a logo painting on a car bonnet. He gave them a logo on a sheet of paper to work from.

When he picked up the car the logo was perfect, except is was in the center of a large white oblong representing the sheet of paper!

Standard installation where I live since 2012!
I must admit I do still use Ethernet cables for my work laptops at home. Partly as I am next to the router, but mainly because it provides a better connection, despite BT's various promises.
Wired always trumps wireless. Especially for Zoom/Teams video calling.

And for recording wanton poling.

Pain in the car, though. Cable keeps getting trapped by traffic signs.

Holy thread resurrection!

I couldn't help but think of this thread at the weekend when I was browsing in John Lewis and bought a wine aerator...
As I savoured experiencing the fuller flavour of my heavy reds straight from the moment of uncorking, I realised this was possibly the most middle class thing I've ever done hehe

PH Private bought a 300 quid 'ninja' air fryer during the pandemic but is yet to use it.

,Instead of going out on the lash and touching girls like that lot wasting their life he saved his money and got a Mitsubishi GTO which was detailed (twin bucket method) every weekend in preparation for meets to stand round in car parks with men in motorsport branded fleeces.

An IT contractor he knows how to maximise income from divvies. It allowed him to get an Elise at 24 whilst that lot were still out ruining their lives on partying and girls. Still a virgin but loves track days. Hopes to marshall one day.

After meeting a girl online he got married in Moss Bros, had a kid and got a divorce within 3yrs. Snake with tits now lives in the house whilst he's in an appartment overlooking Waitrose in Leighton Buzzard. All the consoles and a huge DVD collection housed in black shelving. Filthy carpets.

The boy now comes over every other weekends and our man wants him to get into karting but he's not interested. Doesn't seem interested in the leased Golf either and can't wait to go home to mum.

Talks about pulling the trigger on the latest Maplin gadget. Knows all about Rolex but mostly posts in the £50 watch thread. Hates muzzles and reckons Nige is the only way out of the LabLibCon establishment that's delivering this country to hell in a handcart.

Work colleagues don't tend to notice the handmade suits straining round his paunch. It's 12yrs old now but handmade is handmade and off the peg is for proles. At home he has some really peaty whisky that he unsuccessfully persuades himself that he enjoys.

Mo at the Kohi Nor on Friends and Family. Vapes.

I absolutely love this post on here, along with that of BM Wildcat45, both very insightful and clever.

We do need an updated version, possibly involving pizza ovens, electric roller doors, leased EV's and Crypto investment.
