Surrey.

If nothing else I can walk to Romans and gawp at their stock.

The roads down to Gatwick are nice enough too.

On the edge of Salisbury Plain - outdoor nirvana for walking and MTB'ing. Some good driving roads too!
Looks like the Chalke Valley out towards Wingreen.

I've lived in Devon this time for about ten years now and love it. Some very good roads for a quick blast.

I'm in the East Midlands.

I hate it. There's no hills, no decent driving roads and the people are self-centred and rude.

I'm from North West London but live in South Leicestershire and have lived in this part of the world for 17 years now. I absolutely love the area I live in and I wouldn't change it, leaving London was right for me. I still visit London regularly as I still have family there.

Wetherby, just about in the middle of Yorkshire, easy reach of the Dales, The NYM, Wolds, South Pennines. Even some other counties which have some decent roads too, Durham, Lancashire, Cumbria, Derbyshire.
Plenty of enjoyment still to be had in cars around here.

Im quite happy where I live in rural leicestershire, however the govt wants the local council to allocate land for 11500 new houses, of which over 5000 are already planned, the local council refuses the planning but then gets overuled by govt inspectors. The local schools and doctors are already very full and the roads are fairly congested (as near the A5, A47 and M69).
You must be near Hinckley then?

North Yorkshire a mile or so off the "Helmsley TT" route. Great roads around here, but we are keeping up the pretence - it is a real dump so please stay away.
Me too, but the fascists in NY Police have bought 6 scamera vans which are increasingly appearing on some of the best roads round here frown Great roads in E Yorks too

Mayfield just outside Ashbourne, plenty to see but rubbish for traffic in the summer months as town gets grid locked quite easily.....
I have family in Hognaston, love visiting and like Ashbourne.

I live in Leeds, and honestly don't know how people exist South of the m62. Leeds seems a nice mix of countrysidey pleasantness but still has an Ikea.
IKEA is south of the M62...

(also it's probably justabout in Kirklees...)

Welsh valleys since I was born, got a great network of friends, jobs not brilliant but pays the bills and allows me to do things I want to do. Living costs are low and not much traffic.

Also only have to go half hour to some of the best roads in south wales and an hour away some of mid wales best driving roads.

Don't think I will ever move from the area.

Im from East Yorkshire.

Nothing there hated it, glad I escaped, liked Leeds and stayed there for a decade, like London have been here 8 years, now thinking of finding some other way to do my work and sod off to Finland.

Might try Helsinki and get some land.
Leeds is a dump and the place I hate more than anywhere else!

I drive from Ayles to Risborough and Wycome daily, and the main road between them isn't good. Neither is the road up to Bicester.
Are they still resurfacing the road on the way to Wycombe? I thought I was going to break my back on the ramps down that road in my gf's Twingo Sport! Much prefer the compliance of my M5! I was near Ris last weekend at The Little Kimble. Cool story Bro etc.

Peak District, like living here, driving can be great but often isn't (traffic, pot holes, camera vans). Outdoor sports most things that could tickle your fancy and a fair few things you probably wouldn't want to do. Indoor sports a lack of facilities is a problem and finding likeminded people of a similar level often means traveling.

East Yorkshire, little village half way between hull and york, 30 minutes from each. I like the countryside living, couldn't cope with the hustle of cities. I do like it here, but, if those numbers come in, I'd be moving to the Yorkshire dales as quick as I could.

Margate.

Really, truly st for driving, great for outdoor sports if you like swimming.

Used to be full of benefits scum, now full of hipster DFL's - probably worse.

Anyway, I love it...
