Good thread, I've been looking for a new wallet too. There's a slight craze on slim wallets now, (Kickstarter is full of them) so I've been looking at a few which I might order for a closer look.
Firstly there's the Rogue Letter wallet, front pocket design with coin holder (I hate loose change) http://www.rogue-industries.com/collections/rogue-... :
Then there's the Oyster Wallet: http://www.firebox.com/product/4887/TRU-VIRTU-Wall...
Finally a simple money clip (wrap cash around your cards) http://www.carbonfiberdesigns.com/carbon-fiber-mon... :

I'm going to get one for my birthday - just having a look just now. Would love a Louis Vuitton but just too expensive.
What do you think about this Vivienne Westwood...

They do a whole range from old life jackets/suits I saw them at the beginning of the year and thought what a novel way to make some money and certainly a conversation piece whilst also supporting a fantastic organisation. Just bought a Vivienne Westwood wallet today from their new SS15 range - £100 but comes with a 2 year warranty and looks 'different' lol

It was actually quite interesting choosing as the cuts of leather were all different in shade.

Love JFold Roadsters, had one for several years, enough room for cards, cash receipts. Look great.

Stupid isn't it? As is £900 for a travel bag/suitbag - but...
Blokes don't actually have that much to spend money on. By and large we don't really do clothes. We don't really do shoes or bags or hats or etc etc etc. At best we tend to have one good "proper" pair of stuff and then only really because we think we should. By our very nature blokes generally aren't into frivolous stuff. Hell my wife even has more gadgets than I do- I had to be dragged kicking and screaming into the i world and I downloaded my first mp3 before she was even legal to buy a pint!
So if a chap decides to go and buy something frivolous that he will probably look after, keep and use for 10yrs and just have one of them then I say sod it, do it and live a little. Life can't be all worthy/ value for money drudgery - and I say this as a Northern miser!!

I really like this one and the Smythson stuff is normally very good.

200 quid for a wallet?
It'll feel more special than the one picked up from the market stall for a fiver. Nicer (quality) things cost more, last longer too.
Bought it in a little leather shop on a back street in Lazise next to Lake Garda back in 2004 for less than 20 Euro. It's still in very good shape today, used daily, and (thankfully) is made of black natural leather!
My trusty River Island wallet is falling apart after around 8 years of use. It cost me somehing daft like £20 and was purchased to replace another River Island wallet that lasted a similar amount of time. I've always liked the simple design of the wallet, plain leather trifold with a coin section but the ones they sell at the moment aren't as decent.
Had a look at Aspinal and this one fits the bill. Had a look at LV but can't justify the jump in price.
