That's a good call. They seem to always have a huge pile of men's wallets for some reason.The Calvin Kline was unimpressive and was binned after 2 years because it was so badly worn. Very shabby quality. Sure glad it was £12 not over £100 as claimed for the original retail.
I have a Dents billfold going strong after 5 years, and an Osprey in reserve in the dresser drawer. All under £15 each, compliments of TK Maxx.
The Osprey does look especially nice.

Bit rough around the edges but has a patina that can't be replaced. And yes it does get used - every day. As a modern match Ettinger probably comes closest in terms of quality

I agree with this. I think I've owned 3 wallets in my life and I'm 50. I generally buy a cheap leather one and it gets abused. Normally stuffed with about 10 cards and a ton of receipts.Bought a dark brown leather "Made in England" wallet 30yrs ago from Altrincham Market for less than a fiver and its still going strong. Blokes don't actually have that much to spend money on. By and large we don't really do clothes. We don't really do shoes or bags or hats or etc etc etc. At best we tend to have one good "proper" pair of stuff and then only really because we think we should.
I can see the sense in quality clothing. £200 for a wallet? I'd rather buy one from Ebay and save a donkey with the difference.

Not sure I agree on this one.Men have a vast choice of clothes/accessories to spend their money on. Men's top end clothes/accessories are generally of a much higher quality than women's too which to me at least makes them much easier to justify.
As regards wallets I would steer clear of "designers" and rather concentrate on "makers". As with most things it is far more important who made the item than who designed it.

Yes it says Adidas on it. In my defence it was them that gave it to me as a promotional thing.

I bought myself a new wallet 6 months ago while on holiday in Florence from a leather school called Scuola del Cuoio, made on premises! I went for a brown one with a coin pouch, as my previous wallet didn't have one and I got fed up of carrying coins around in my pocket. Thankfully there is still enough room for all my cards, as I keep my debit and credit card in the more secure slot behind the main card slots. It cost me 53 Euros and feels well made and it seems like nice leather. It still feels new at the moment, a bit too new. I'm looking forward to it developing a nice patina over time.
