I dreamt that I was in a factory where I no longer work helping people who I went to school with. Been a few months since last memorable dream though.

Got the playstation out to play with. It had a tiger print case. A bit odd you might think. Even more odd when the pet giraffe went ballistic and wrecked the house!

Not particularly bizzare, but so mundane I believed it. On Sunday I woke believing the previous day someone I was with told me it was Mothering Sunday the next day. I ended up hacking it to the supermarket to buy a last minute gift and card. Only when I had spent 5 minutes looking for something did I Google it and find out my error.

every 6 months or so i will have an unbelievably lucid and cinematic dream, very very long in duration, usually involving some kind of disaster such as alien invasion, assorted natural disasters, nuclear war... things like that. Basically each is like five huge budget films back to back, only 100 times better, and i am actually the protagonist, living inside it all. Often horrific but amazing at the same time, i feel a bit changed for a while after i have one. I feel quite lucky to have them really, just wish i could somehow channel the creative forces that drive them.

Dreamt that I was washing my car with a power washer inside ouir storage unit. The water was rising up the walls, there are a number of valuable classics in the unit belonging to other people and I was panicking trying to bail the unit out with a small bucket. Someone opened the sliding doors as I woke up.

On Saturday night, dreamt that IS/black pyjama types had taken over my little village and were running around chopping off heads and hands and doing awful stuff all over the place. Real enough to wake me up and send me in to the living room for 20 mins mind-clearing in front of the TV.

Last night dreamed that I had moved house, but it was not to the one we're in the process of buying in real life. It was night time and one of my dogs had escaped, I went out looking for it with my daughter as we were walking along behind the new house a bloke appeared out of the darkness dressed in pyjamas and wearing a balaclava. He walked across our path saying 'snfl, snfl, snfl' and was just very sinister. I was going to attack him but then realised I had my daughter with me and totally froze in fear. That woke me up.
Cheese consumption yesterday = Nil.

So the other morning I woke up, wandered out into the hall and my son was watching TV on a small television in the hall. I asked him what he was doing and he told me that he couldn't watch it in his room because of the man who was working in there.

I went in and an electrician was changing a faulty light fitting. Fair enough but he'd redecorated the whole ceiling and half way down the walls in really shiny chequer plate aluminium. I asked him what on earth all that was doing all over the ceiling and half the walls. He said he had to redecorate because of the mess that was caused by changing he light fitting. I asked him who had chosen the chequer plate? He said he wasn't sure, he thought his wife had. I asked him why on earth he didn't check with me that it was what I wanted, since it was my house? As he was stumbling for an answer I woke up for real.

And yes, when I got up I did have a quick look in to make sure there wasn't actually chequer plate aluminium across the ceiling and top half of the walls! biggrin

Last night I dreamt that I was working in a factory making Terminators - T101s. All jolly nice, no Hitlers for supervisors, didn't see Arnie or John Conner so must've been before Judgement Day/rise of the machines.

I seemed to have bought a ropey old cabin cruiser, you know, those dead ones that are stuffed into the back corner of any boatyard around the world.

One had on the back was an outboard like no other. It was a huge Jaffa orange engine cowling in glitter paint and written down the side in glitter silver was "Central Afrique du Honda".

I took the boat out and ttted the prop, snapping one blade clean off. Hauling the boat out, my old mate Geoff turned up in his repair van. I asked him if he wanted a bargain and he said yes. We took the huge glittery cowling off the outboard only to discover the powerful Honda was in fact a crappy old 2CV aircooled twin. I lost the sale.

Awoke.

Last nights dream is a little scrambled to remember most of. But what I do remember is dreaming that I was seated at a table in a room with water rushing between my toes whilst sharing a Bong with Dot Cotton from Eastenders just before my alarm went off.

I've not smoked weed in about 14 years and I hate soaps (not to mention that dreary East-bloody-enders) - Suprised the writers/producers haven't slit their wrists yet.

I very rarely remember my dreams, but had 1 this week that is still clear in my mind???

My mrs and I were in a car with a couple of others, (randomns.) My late dad was driving and we appeared to be on a dusty/dirty kind of single carriageway type road, had a feel of India or maybe South America about it. Next to us and running along side was a kind of raised motorway, all of a sudden my dad puts his foot down and the speed just continually keeps rising and then on purpose dad starts to run anyone and everything over, its carnage, and at the same time on the raised motorway a huge pile up starts and petrol tankers and lorries are crashing down in balls of flame behind us, the faster my dad drives and the more he ploughs through people, the bigger the crash gets behind us??? WTF?

I immediately think i've woke up in bed from this dream, (but I havn't.) So i'm now in our bedroom, pitch black, and think i can hear movement or footsteps within the house. For some reason, the closer they get the more I become paralysed with fear to the point I, (think) that I just sort of shut my eyes tightly and hide under the quilt, (bloody wuss.) Then it feels like someone has grabbed my head, and starts squeezing my skull, this just gets tighter and tighter, and I start to get flashing/pulsing lights in my closed eyes, the tighter the grip on my skull becomes, the more intense the pulsing lights become!
It just gets more and more intense, and I have a real fear that I'm going to die.
Then somehow, I know I have to wake myself up to stop myself dying, at which point I wake up screaming, enough to wake my mrs up in a sudden state of panic???

I quickly come round in abit of a sweat, I explain all of the above to my mrs. The whole thing was just bizarre and if i'm honest at the time shook me up abit. I layed in bed wide awake for a good hour too scared to go back to sleep, but must have just drifted back off somehow.

All very odd.

Last night actually, I had a dream something along the lines of the carpets were alien maggots and stepping on them meant the maggots got into your body and ate you from the inside out.

Yep I don't know what the hell is wrong with my head either.

I dreamt last night that I was walking up the Mall in central London where someone on a sports bike was practicing gymkhana. The person then skidded and crashed.

Well it was a nice sunny day, so I went around to Blib's house (Blib of this PH parish).

Blib wasn't in but his wife was. She's a very smart, switched on lady (God knows what she's doing with Blib). We got chatting about King Charles spaniels and laptops.

I then decided to take her on the back of my Quadbike and break the World Record for 0-100-0mph for two-up, racing against a AM V8 and a Ducati. We won.

Awake.

Had a recurring nightmare the other day, that I've not had in a good few years. Had been having this dream since being around 6 years old I think.

What makes it really weird is the fact that it has a 'texture' to it, just before I wake up. Anyway, goes like this...

Running as an adult through a grey, dead-looking forrest, I can see or hear 1 or 2 people running along with me, twigs and branches brushing my face and snapping underfoot. I just know in the dream that I'm running for my life in blind panic, although no idea what from.

Suddenly emerge from the forrest and stop at the edge of a huge lake and then everything goes bright, blindingly white. The air takes on a texture or feeling, which is hard to explain (i still cringe when I think about it when awake). It's extremely smooth but also really rough at the same time. All the trees and the people around just shrivel up in a fraction of a second, then i wake up.

Always thought it sounded a bit like a nuclear attack scenario but only when I was older. I don't think 6 year old me would have known what that might look like. It's the feeling of it rather than the imagery that used to freak me out anyway.

That is weird. Does Blib know you are dreaming about his good lady?

I'd get him to send you a picture for clarity.
