Take this kiss upon the brow!
And, in parting from you now,
Thus much let me avow —
You are not wrong, who deem
That my days have been a dream;
Yet if hope has flown away
In a night, or in a day,
In a vision, or in none,
Is it therefore the less gone?
All that we see or seem
Is but a dream within a dream.

I stand amid the roar
Of a surf-tormented shore,
And I hold within my hand
Grains of the golden sand —
How few! yet how they creep
Through my fingers to the deep,
While I weep — while I weep!
O God! Can I not grasp
Them with a tighter clasp?
O God! can I not save
One from the pitiless wave?
Is all that we see or seem
But a dream within a dream?
Just wait until he sits in quicksand...HA

A couple of times now I've had dreams with rolling end credits before waking.

Just remembered a strange one some weeks ago...

(bits missing)
Me and Prince Harry kicking a large diamond (size of a football) to each other across a highly polished wooden floor discussing why car insurance for people in the Army has become ridiculously expensive.

I'd love that at the end of a dream.

Most of my dreams happen in the same "place" but it's a really big place and the same locations occur again and again but with different stuff happening.

There are often themes that last for a week or so, too.

I had a dream on Wednesday night that I came round after having a surgical procedure. I was laying on a rubber conveyor belt in some industrial building being pulled slowly up a slope on my back. At the bottom of the slope was a woman who angrily threw a diseased looking liver at me. I realised I must have had a liver transplant and that the one she threw was my old one. She then hurled a healthy looking liver at me. At that point I realised I had no liver and hadn't been stitched up either. Then I woke up. frown

Had a dream a couple of years ago about being chased through underground tunnels by somebody and decided as a last resort to give them a roundhouse kick to the head, unfortunately in the real world I nearly broke my foot on the wooden edge of the bed I was in at the time and could not work for a few days!

I pretty much always dream, last nights one i had a puncture and had to wait for the aa to come and repair it, went onto next day and same corner but the wifes car puncture again and had to wait for aa, went onto next day and in work car same corner same puncture but different aa chap.

Once i dreamt me and a colleague were taking a car to be refilled.

Another time i was struggling to open a can of beans.

I do have weird dreams but it whilst i can always remember them on initial wake up most are gone from memory soon after.

I watched Inception last night. My dreams last night /this morning were pretty strange I can tell you. Part of one was some bloke wanting to buy calligraphy pens in new york whilst I and another couple of blokes staked out Central park from a house owned by the bloke they were going to kill. I ended up drifting an SLK around some empty streets in NY and saw a Zonda.

My dream last night was horrible.

I had woken up (or at least I thought I had) the other half went to the bathroom & the bedroom was pitch black but I could see a shape on the wall at the foot of the bed. I slowly sat up & moved forward to take a closer look when all of a sudden something grabbed my feet & dragged me into the wall! I did actually wake up at that point!

Anyone ever suffered from "sleep paralysis" Absolutely terrifying......

Bearing in mind that I am in my mid 40's I find it kind of strange that I am having regular dreams about an old school classmate who I used to fancy but was always too shy at the time to make it known.

In my dreams I am now able to openly chat about my interest in her but the dream always ends before I find out if she has similar thoughts about me!! laugh

Last night I dreamt that I collected my car from being serviced and, after stopping on the way home, discovered that all four alloy wheels had been swapped for crappy grey steel wheels, but they had put my tyres on them.

I returned to the garage to be told that there was a plumbing issue so the valeters had no water. So they'd cleaned the car but as the wheels were so dirty they had removed them to clean later and swapped my tyres onto the steel wheels to go back on my car.

I then became concerned about the tyres cracking around the side wall close to the tread but they said it was just cosmetic and not to worry...

Not terribly exciting but oddly precise and very lucid.

That's a bit freaky!!

I have dreams where I 'wake up' but really I'm still asleep and weird stuff happens.

I also occasionally get sleep paralysis. A couple of times I've woken up and my g/f was asleep with her arm draped over me. It felt like it weighed a ton and was trapping and suffocating me. I can't move and I try to call out but my voice won't work. I'm yelling inside but only a very quiet muffled noise comes out. Really horrible.

Luckily she's a very light sleeper and woke up.

Most blokes in a relationship get that one. There's another one when you're trapped and you're trying to chew your arm off. They get worse and even more vivid if you get married. hehe

One of the last ones i had was that i had an old Saab 99 that id let someone drive while i sat in the front passenger seat. He was tearing around some small streets in London then deliberately drove into the back of a truck smashing all the front in with me shouting at him "Why the censored did you do that!"

Not recently but when i was still married i had a dream that id back handed someone ( you slaaag). Id obviously acted it out in my sleep with force as i woke up to find myself on the floor stuck wedged between the small gap between the bed and the wall. Im looking up in confusion with the ex looking down at me.
