I take my "bones" out before they go to the cleaners, which involves pushing/pulling them into the collar pockets everyday. You'll only slide your fingers against CF with exposed edges once and these are cut - not molded...
I'm oout.

Yeah, I backed them from early on, nice to see a shout out last night. Thinking one of each...

I have backed too (as a direct result of seeing this thread.... Fed up of my metal ones, and plastic ones (which I use when going through airport) are busted!

So now you have hands-on, are the edges cut or molded? Can't quite see from that picture

I rather like 'em. Those blue ones have turned out really good, I only have black.

They're not as stiff as I expected, which is probably a good thing, they feel about right. The edges appear to be cut rather than moulded, but they're smooth enough so shouldn't cause an issue. You certainly couldn't cut yourself on one. One minor annoyance is that the weave isn't parallel to the edges, but this isn't Pagani, realistic expectations and all that!

They're cut, my blue ones are certainly more flexible than the yellow ones which feel thicker.

the yellow ones are probably more flexible because of the materials used. I suspect the yellow/black weave is a carbon/kevlar mix. kevlar give more flex to the material carbon being more brittle.

where the blue mix i think could be carbond fibre and possible coloured fibreglass weave, making a bit brittle.

I find the carbon fibre makes a huge difference to my shirts power to weight ratio. More aero too.

Mine arrived too in blue.

For the money paid I'm very happy and to have something delivered in good time from initial backing is nice. I will no longer have back issues from carrying around those heavy brass collar stays!!

Wife saw them, asked how much I paid, asked why I couldn't just make my own.

It's not difficult or expensive, even in carbon fibre. wink

Finally got on this site and wanted to thank everyone for the support during this project. Any issues hit us up and we can help out. We are making sure our customers come first.

You also might want to check out our newest project. Just kicked off on Kickstarter...Cufflinks. We will be adding more colours this time around. So look out for red and sliver!

Yep, put my pledge in for a set of the blue cuff links.

Are you planning on doing any thinner collar stays, as all my work shirts seem to have very thin stays.silly

Thanks for your support here!

Here are some of the thoughts from how things should be finished:

So the edges of the cufflink face are going to be waterjet cut, then buffed to a matte finish. The cufflink face will be gloss. The body will be gloss sides when we have the moulds we are having made from the kickstarter funds. So everything that isn't a thin edge will be gloss and anything with more than a 2mm width will be gloss.

We are also be adding red and silver tops!

Hopefully all goes well. Thanks again!
