I found these on Kickstarter and thought they might appeal to PHers...

That looks like an expensive way of breaking the washing machine.

Useful more than cool. I had to get mother of pearl ones as the metal ones would go off every time going through airport security which is a pain. The bendy plastic jobbies you get with the shirts are useless.

If ever there is a PH "first world problems" thread - oh there is.

If you buy a decent shirt they usually come with nice brass ones.

Interesting, my big lump of a stainless steel watch doesn't set them off.

Charles Tyrwhitt shirts come with brass ones. Thought of getting them engraved but then decided that was a bit of a crappo idea.

It definitely wasn't your collar stays doing that. They don't set off the detector.

I ave some silver ones and a pair of mother of pearl ones. I used to have an actual pair of collar bones, made of bone.

'Bones' is the correct term for them, being of course for the reason you detail.

The sale of marussia when they auctioned off all the F1 gear had a few lots of better quality carbon collar stays. I Wear brass but noticed a lot of company's sell silver ones, any particular reason why? As surely no one will ever see them??

They look awesome, and it'd be interesting to see what else the company could come up with if they get off the ground!

I'm in for a set, selected the blue ones but will probably go for black (they say you can choose once it's funded).
