When you ring the fax number by mistake, how long should you leave it before ringing the phone number, to ensure they don't know it was you who rang the fax number?

Why, when watching space documentaries do scientist reference "frozen water" / "liquid water"? Surely water and ice are liquid and frozen by their definition?

We have also been having issues with travelers in Bournemouth. Can someone with a background in law tell me when a minority can ignore a law and not get prosecuted? If I broke a lock and set up a camp on a car park I would be done for damage and at least a parking fee?
In my area they set up camp on the council park/football pitch. If I drove my car on there I would expect the police would deal with it quite quickly. Travellers do it en mass and are there for ages.

We also seem to get the minority bad ones who fly tip the park at the same time (and give the decent and honest ones a bad name)!

Why do obese women tend to lose their hair more so than women who haven't abused their bodies to the point of grotesque?

I think the twelve years since anyone used a fax should be enough.

You'd be surprised, in some circles they are still quite the thing.

Most electronic communication is recorded. Faxes leave no electronic trace...

Visiting our son in Raynes Park, London, and we saw this road sign.

What on earth does "BTW" mean?

It originally meant built by a coach builder, who built the non mechanical bits and were so called because they originally built coaches as in stage coach. In those days you could (and at one time usually did) buy a chassis and engine and have it delivered to a coach builder who would put a body on it.

Originally posh cars came as a chassis,& you would get a coach builder(obviously who had built coaches before the new fangled automobiles came along) to build the rest to your specifications

Regarding the Letterbocks letters from Viz magazine that appear on Face book-
First let me make it perfectly clear that I know they're all a joke and the views expressed are all ridiculous but what I wondered was are they all written by very clever funny members of the public and then signed with nom-de-plumes, or, are they written by Viz staff who are paid to be funny and therefore should be?

Some people I know from this site have had their letters printed, so at least some of them are written by the public

See that little black hook thing at the top edge of the rear door?

Wossat for then?

My Defender has one too and I have no idea what it does.

There's really no polite way of putting this but do ugly people just settle for ugly partners or do they actually find them attractive?

Rear window washer jet, or at least it was on the 200TDi. Quite handy for squirting people as they get out the back door.
