If you were stuck in a normal sized lift, and there was no ventilation due to a power cut, how long would it take you to die of carbon dioxide poisoning. / asphyxia?
http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview/id/25...Just plug in the size of the lift. CO2 poisoning gets you before lack of oxygen(cf Apollo 13)

* depending on how many others are in the lift...

But lifts aren't hermetically sealed. You'd die of starvation* (or dehydration) before you died of anything else.

The OP later added "In my question, there is no ventilation"* depending on how many others are in the lift...

I appreciate this is an unlikely situation, but what if you were a Domino's Pizza delivery driver and wanted to use something such as an E46 M3 CSL to do your deliveries? Where would you attach the magnetic light-up sign? It wouldn't stick to the carbon fibre roof, nor the plastic (?) boot lid. Would you not be able to do the job?
Guess what we've just had delivered.
You can easily stick a magnetic sign to a carbon fibre roof. All you need is an attracting magnet on the inside if he car against the inside of the roof. Guess what we've just had delivered.
But I suspect it's not something that anyone would do.
The CB radio aerial wouldn't stick to the plastic roof of the Espace, so we cut out a panel of the roof from the Carlton before scrapping it, and bolted that to the roof of the Espace and earthed it. So I guess you could do similar with your M3 CSL?

Has anyone ever used a recorded customer phone call for 'training purposes'?
My insurance company did. To check what mods I had (hadn't) told them about. Still paid out, despite them having suitable evidence, but said I'd have to pay an adjusted premium, which they never charged back.

My insurance company said they did, but when I requested proof of such to show I'd asked for protected no claims they mysteriously couldn't find it, back-pedalled, and added protected no claims bonus to my policy FOC. Lying parasites.AVV EM said:

Yes, last place I worked they would on their training days.Watching Police Interceptors last night.
They're busting a Cannabis factory - every time they do this they always make a point to say the growers has bypassed the meter and how dangerous it is.
He says they do it to avoid the electricity company alerting the police.
Firstly - do the utilities providers really grass up their own customers like that, I would imagine it would require a specific law to be passed to circumvent the DPA without a warrant etc.
Secondly - AFAIK all but very new smart meters are 'dumb' they record usage, but they don't broadcast the information, it requires either the customer to give the reading or someone coming around to read it. Given it's unlikely they're going to allow the meter man in to have a look at their bypassed meter and "oh don't mind the smell, erm the kids are burning incense again".

I client of ours listens into 10-20 calls their staff made / took a day looking for issues to address, it's not a call centre either - Finance Company, to make sure their guys are looking for the right opportunities and portraying the values or something.Yeah, it's there to settle arguments between their customers and their staff as well.

The DPA contains exemptions around the detection and prevention of crime, but not sure off the top of my head if they would cover the electicity supplier whistleblowing or if they only apply when the Police come asking for records/information.They're busting a Cannabis factory - every time they do this they always make a point to say the growers has bypassed the meter and how dangerous it is.
