Previously it changes the location so when the driver prints a ticket it shows the correct stop that the ticket was bought at.

At the risk of being completely thick, can someone explain the reason for these road signs?

Does it mean the road straight ahead is now a cycle route or that the pavement going left ceases to be a cycle lane as the one in the road begins?
completely thick, I'm afraid

triangle is a warning sign, remember

it means
warning: cyclists

in this case, because they are likely to be coming off the combined pedestrian/cyclist footpath and into the road cycle path
Fair enough. Since that was taken they have added a load of new random signs and dropped it to a SPEC controlled 30 limit after some scrote wrapped a Nova round a lamppost killing his passengers (yeah sure, the car was stolen and he didn't have a licence, but I'm sure those camera would have prevented that accident)

Why do hotter countries generally tend to have cultures that attribute less importance to punctuality?

A generalisation obviously, but applies to Southern Europe compared to Northern, to some extent the Southern US compared with Northern US, and parts of Africa and the Caribbean are horrendous for timekeeping.

My butler uses one of the staff cars if he needs to go out, but usually he sends one of the footmen.

What's cheaper boiling a pan of water on a gas cooker or boiling the same amount in an electric kettle?

I've got it in mind, although no idea whether 'tis true or an urban myth but they're about the same.
Gas is cheaper per unit o energy than electricity but a kettle is a far more efficient user of energy for this purpose so things even out,

A lady from the city and her traveling companion were on a train when she noticed some cows. "What a cute flock of cows!" she remarked.
"Not a flock, herd", her friend replied.
"Heard of what?"
"Herd of cows."
"Of course I've heard of cows."
"No, a cow herd."
"What do I care what a cow heard. I have no secrets to keep from a cow!"
What's the surname of that famous Austrian racing driver, Nicky Something?

It was a surprise when Dominoes pizza arrived in town - suddenly there's a fleet of mopeds delivering overpriced unhealthy pro-salt tepid food to your door.

So why don't Chippy's deliver? The chinese take-away has also been encouraging non-roadworthy MOT failures to hack around the suburban roadscape for years, too.

It's not the pricing, is it? What does a haddock and med chips cost now - £8 plus per head? Compared to the pizza a meal for 3 or 4 peeps must be similar cost/margin?

Maybe it's the aroma?
I think the simple answer is that the level of communications necessary to have a community understand that such an unusual facility is available to them is beyond most chippies.

Though with facebook and twitter, it has never been easier than now to manage such a feat.

I'd love a chippy that delivered. And for that matter, a drive-thru chippy too.
Move to Scotland, lots of chippies deliver up here and still less than £6 for fish and chips.

What that's annoying noise?
I know it's sone sort of radio traffic but it throws up some questions.
Firstly. Why leave it on a BBC video. Secondly. What's its purpose. Thirdly. Is it aliens.

Kettle I reckon - just because you're losing a LOT less heat to the environment.

Oh wait aaaargh you're not really asking that you've chucked a gas vs electric prices question in there too. No bloody idea. Sorry. getmecoat

Modem/data encoding.
.Laziness.. None.. No.

Too many full stops in your "questions", btw - and try using some of these "????" in future.

Why dont they do fish fingers?
That's a mighty fine question. A van going round the estates selling fish finger sandwiches (council estates) or Cod Goujons with Rustic Bread (the Bovis, blue-suited, 3yo-320d-on-the-drive estates) would rake it in.
Could you cook it in the back of a fish van? Would that be safe driving around?!

Yes and yes. We have a fish and chip van which visits our village, mentioned in my post back up there from 23rd March ^^^

main problem is keeping the batter crisp during delivery. there's an excellent chippy near me which delivers but its no good. they put the food in styrofoam trays and group the orders so its soggy by the time it reaches you.

It means there'll be a video worth watching, so grab a mug of your favourite warm beverage and click "play".
