There are some people protesting at Heathrow. I assume they haven't had a wash for a few weeks and probably vote for left leaning political party's, is there any evidence of right leaning voters protesting about anything?
Most of the anti-wind turbine lot look like Shire Tories.

I remember a terrible TV programme called Willie's Wonky Chocolate - the main guy in that claimed all sort of magical properties for Cocoa, although he pronounced it in the most over-blown way possible,
He might have been saying 'Cacao'

The Queen always travelled by Rolls Royce limousine to appropriate events, now it's a Bentley. How did VW manage that?

Has it not been a Bentley for ages? I remember getting a tour of the factory in 2002 and they showed us the car they made for the queen to go around in (kind of like an extended and raised limo thing)

No, it hadn't. RR up to 2002, when the Bentleys were delivered.

Bear in mind Bentley is basically the old Rolls Royce in every respect other than badge.

I'm very well aware of that. It's the brand that is important in this case.

In 2002 they were the same company. The people who built the previous Roller were the same who built the new Bentley - mostly.

Bentley and RR split in 2003, with VW taking Bentley and BMW taking Rolls.

Well you learn something new everyday.

I always though those 'Queen Cars' with the high roof and big windows were Daimlers.

Some are. 2 Bentleys, 3 Royces and 3 Daimlers. http://www.royal.gov.uk/TheRoyalHousehold/Transpor...

So, if they were the same firm in 2002, why not call the car a Rolls Royce?

Part of the BMW/VW negotiations?

I don't see what it would have to do with the negotiations.
It seems it was a heavily modified Bentley Arnage so it would be natural to call it a Bentley, no?

RR and Bentley split in 1998, not 2003.

The cars were a Crewe product, but after RR had left Crewe. So they were (are) Bentleys.

I was just referencing the wiki article:
"From 1998 to 2002, BMW would continue to supply engines for the cars and would allow Volkswagen use of the Rolls-Royce name and logo. On 1 January 2003, only BMW would be able to name cars "Rolls-Royce", and Volkswagen Group's former Rolls-Royce/Bentley division would build only cars called "Bentley". The last Rolls Royce from the Crewe factory, the Corniche, ceased production in 2002, at which time the Crewe factory became Bentley Motors Limited, and Rolls-Royce production was relocated to a new entity in Goodwood, England known as Rolls-Royce Motor Cars."

Thinking about it, it would seem that the brand of car the most famous woman in the world attends widely televised functions in would damn well absolutely be a part of the negotiations between two car makers.

Ok, I can't find the answer to this on google -

Recently went to Montenegro, and I noticed quite a few cars that were parked up had bits of cardboard box cut up and covering the wheels, some had done it so it was literally like a cover for the whole wheel made from cardboard. What is that all about? I thought maybe it was a hot weather thing, but then loads of people don't bother with that in other hot places...?

Wrong.

The Queen is more famous than the four of those put together. Think globally.
