Don't forget that you can jump up and down on them to break any set in the "material". That gets you a few extra days per position. Bonus points for flaking bits off.

Although in my yooth when I used to go camping, I did sometimes use the rotate and inside-out technique to save weight and space in my rucksack.

I'd clean them when I got time to go to a laundry though, AKA public toilet. Wash them in the sink dry them with the hand dryer.

Same here. I also can't function without a hot shower every morning as a minimum.

The only thing I'll wear for several days is jeans. Anything else is worn once then washed.

3 pairs of socks for £5, you could buy 10 for £5 if you wanted, they're hardly expensive.

Minimum of daily, if a day includes running or working on cars, house, garden etc then after the dirty/exerting activity as well, so sometimes 2-3 times in a day.

At the other extreme when I was in the Himalayas, 3 weeks....

Unless they have any visible marks/stains in which case they can be washed.

Jeans last weeks, sometimes months before seeing the inside of the washing machine.

On a related note, how about these people that wear their underwear to bed? They're in their underwear all day and then just jump straight into bed with it. Shouldn't they at least put a clean pair on before jumping into bed?

As above, jeans, unless they're stained can go on for months, generally until they put themselves in the washer.
