Im not convinced there are not two pictures going round which people are seeing;
There could be multiple versions doing the rounds - especially if shared on facebook. I have found that facebook automatically applies a contrast and brightness 'enhancement' to any photos uploaded. Mine always look lighter on facebook that the same image on my PC or uploaded here.
Some of the images may have been uploaded, downloaded and re-uploaded multiple times - further compounding the issue.
There may well be slightly different versions going round, but I have just had both my flatmates look at the image in the OP of this thread on my computer. Same screen, lighting etc.
One said it is clearly white and gold and the other said it was obviously blue and black! Bizarre.
Seems I am in the minority seeing light blue and gold though.

No, it is a monitor constrast level thing.
I'm not so sure, I first saw the image on the news here (not much goes on in NZ lol) and it was gold and white.I then saw it in this thread and it was the same and then on my phone it was white and gold.
Only time its changed is in the two images above where its a blue tinged white and gold dress.

Top one: light cornflower blue and a drab but light brown Bottom one: white with bronze (more than gold) bits.
Anyone who thinks they look the same needs new eyes.
Anyone who thinks the top one is a white dress would be well advised to hold a piece of white paper up to the screen.
Anyone who thinks the dress in the OP is any different to the top one needs new eyes.
[This was doing the rounds at lunchtime here. Three of us had the image on screen in front of us. Two said blue/brown and one said white gold. He took a bit of abuse for that. Then we got some more people. All of them said blue/brown. One toddled off and got her phone, and pulled it up on that. "It's white and gold here" she said. We all looked - it was blue/brown, just like the one on screen. She had two images in front of her and thought they were different, we all thought exactly the same two images were the same. V odd.]

Every single photo posted whether adjusted or not is of a blue and black dress.
I showed this to the Mrs and she said white and gold, laughed when I told her it was blue and black. I'm going to go punch her in the throat as I'm right and she is wrong
First time I saw it it was bright white and bright yellow gold. I showed this to the Mrs and she said white and gold, laughed when I told her it was blue and black. I'm going to go punch her in the throat as I'm right and she is wrong
fk this dress
Saw this thread this morning and had no idea what it was about so ignored it. Saw the damn dress all day and now I've just seen a BBC report on FaceBook and http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/blogs-trending-31659395
Oh, it's white and gold
Oh, it's white and gold
Because note everyone in the world is as 'into' UKIP as the average PHer.
And because people have decided that a light story about a curious psychological phenomena is a temporary light relief from the getting angry about the endless st storm in the news (all of the headlines will be there tomorrow to get all good and angry about as well).
So - that's why. HTH

Strange while we are apparently on the brink of war with Russia, an alumni of Westminster uni has just been exposed as 'Jihad John' and UKIP has it's spring conference the story dominating the msm is what colour a fking dress is. Cultural marxism at it's finest.

I am surprised it has been so popular on a car forum like PH considering there is no women even wearing said dress and the fact it made the BBC1 and C4 main news this evening a little odd imo. But carry on don't want to interrupt such an in-depth discussion. jogon said:

I have unfortunately and feel we pay far too much attention to its significance. It does have it's uses in reporting live news and events but imo any useful campaign will not be achieved with 140 characters and some pics or video clip. Audience is still very limited and what is often viewed the content is so overly biased or false that one disregards it instantly. Welcome, albeit a late one, to the 21st Century
The comments section of the online newspaper articles is where the real battle ground lies and UKIP is winning that across most outlets.
