Can I change my vote?

Was blue and black, now pale blue and gold (ish).

It's been the topic of the day here in New Zealand on TV and talk-radio.

The youngsters in my household see gold and I see blue!

It is blue and black, Adobe say it's blue and black, the people who made the dress say it is blue and black, Wired say it is blue and black and the person who wore the dress says it is blue and black. You see white and gold? Get your eyes checked you weirdos!

Someone text me this pic earlier and it was black and mauve. Saw it here and now looks white and gold?

Odd.

I see the colours as gold/brown and light blue.

Just put the photo through photoshop.

The supposed black or gold bits are coming out anywhere between RGB 75,65,36 and 136,122,87 (for reference black is 0,0,0 and white is 255,255,255).

The blue or white bits are coming out between RGB 183,205,254 and 97,97,107

IMO it's a badly exposed photo, possibly with poor white balance. Unless we know the camera/lens used, exposure time, white balance settings - plus your viewing device's white balance and gamma settings - it's impossible to say absolutely what colour the dress is from that photo alone.

It is blue and black, but i mostly see it as white and brown (gold would be generous) every now and then it changes for a few seconds to blue/black, it's a white balance thing that would affect us all less in person.

Everyone sees colours slightly differently but this image is superb to illustrate it.

If you turn up/down the brightness on your screen there is a chance you will be able to find the crossover point for your eyes as the light levels you look at change.

What the hell? Neither of those options. You've got "gold" (or beige) and lavender blue.

Exactly so. Which renders the whole debate moot and I don't understand why the entire* internet has got its collective knickers in a twist over it.

(* - I'm exaggerating, obviously)

To me it looks White and Gold.

I've opened it in Paint.Net and its comes up as the white being light blue and the gold a brown/poo colour.

At work earlier on (on a proper monitor) I said white with a tinge of purple, and brown/gold.

However looking at it now on my phone it is blue and black.

My brain must be fked frown

ETA maybe it does change depending on device?

Looking directly at it I'd say it was white and gold. Looking at it out of the corner of my left eye (so not looking directly at the image) its still white and gold, but looking at it out of the corner of my right eye its quite clearly blue and black.
Same here.

Can I recommend Specsavers to some of you!

It's Gold and White, I can't make it go any other colours!
