The company who makes the dress has confirmed it's blue and black.

What annoys me is that people still seem to believe it's white and gold even though it has been proven it is in fact blue and black.
Do you get annoyed at people who describe the sky as blue when really it's black but only looks blue?http://www.independent.co.uk/news/weird-news/what-...

I suspect a lot of this is down to the inability of digital cameras to accurately reflect colours.
This plant pot is - I swear - purple:
Every attempt, with several cameras, has it looking blue.
The real colour is like this:
that also looks purple on my calibrated IPS CAD screen :-)This plant pot is - I swear - purple:

I have tried every way to make that dress go from the gold to black in photoshop, it's gold, it matters not what the real colour of the dress is just what the picture is as the white balance is clearly out, hence why most of use see the blue tint on the white, but the gold is gold.

Can someone please confirm that those of us (a minority it would seem) who see the dress as blue and black are vastly superior beings wthat those "white and gold" jerks?
but this is a sample of the two colours in photoshop of the gold part and the black partcomputers don't lie or change colours and they are not colour blind.
do you see these as the same colour ? if you see the left square as a gold/brown and not black that is what the left picture is FACT lol

We aren't seeing it as exactly the same, that would be crazy, however the picture on the left is clearly an overexposed, crappy camera pic of the dress on the right, ie: black and blue. Just like the differences between these two pics, although appearing different shades, are clearly the same colour and would appear identical in real life.the op asked "what colour is this dress" not "what colours do you see". And it has been established that the physical dress blue and black. So anyone saying it is anything other than blue and black is wrong.
however, if the question was what colours do you see, no honest answer is wrong.
