So there I was having the mop chopped today and a bit of argy bargy breaks out amongst the local roid heads. Wanted to get the PH consensus.

Roid head 1 comes in, sits down in the waiting area for 2 minutes then goes to take a phone call outside. Roid head 2 comes in 30 seconds later and plonks himself in the waiting area, having not seen roid head 1. Roid head 1 comes back in 3 minutes later & sits back down.

Barber asks who's next and they both get up at which point muscles are flexed, veins are popped, & all hell breaks loose.

So who was next?

Number 2. Number one gave up his "place" by leaving and coming back later.

I'd say taking a call doesn't eliminate you from the queue, and taking it outside is good manners so should be commended. But of course both should have insisted the other go first and apologised repeatedly to each other because this is Britain.

I dunno but the barbers I go too seems a free for all, all the time - I went in tonight and despite there being 6 people all sat down, apparently I was next smile

no one battered an eye lid...

Battered eyelids. Tempura. With a twist of lime and a little salt.

Try them.

All that jazz

Eh?

More importantly, do you leave a tip at the barbers?
Or is that another thread?

Yes - so if I wonder off on the phone I can get to the front of the queue!

So who was next ? Who made it to the chair ?

Barber should have told the second guy that there was one guy before him to stop any shinanigans happening.

Duty of care and all that......

Barber should have told them both to go away, as they don't serve rude and inconsiderate idiots.

Barber should have known who was next, having greeted them when they walked into the shop, but it could have been a long day.

They shouldn't have split hairs over it. That's the barber's job....

Barber should have given them both a clip around the ears.
