I did this once or twice a month last year.
I would just spin with no bet wait until 4 black/red came in then bet the opposite on the next spin.
Overall I worked out I was up but did experience like 10 straight blacks IIRC, lost out and called it quits.

Few months ago they (bet365) stopped you being able to spin with no bet hehe
Don't bother now.

You're all forgetting the green zero (and double 00 depending on table)

Tbh you're better off playing blackjack
This.

The green zero is the house advantage for red/black betting.

There is a smaller advantage for the house in blackjack and it includes an element of skill, whereas roulette is pure chance. I'm not sure if card counting works with online games, but there is still a system for gaining the maximum advantage in blackjack.

The trick is knowing when to get out.

0 and 00 have no effect, you'd just double again. The table limit is how you lose.

I tried to get into this,, earning a bit of extra money on the side. I always made sure I went on live casinos rather than autos though.

Started off at £1 bets, doubling for a loss etc. also mixed it up between colour and even / odd. I though I was getting somewhere, but soon you realise that you will get a run of a colour or number you are betting against, and in order for this technique to win you have to keep going!

I lost all in on mine and this has happened every time. Obviously the more you have in, the more chances you have.

Good luck

Great, i thing you guys are probably right, i should quit while I'm several hundred ahead!

I will take a look at blackjack. Do i use the same principle i.e. start low, keep doubling till win, then start again?

Ban you?

Good God no. They make their millions off people like you.

There's a worrying level of naivety and stupidity in this thread, in equal measures.

Withdraw and be happy you won the short game, because you have NO advantage, edge, or 'trick' or algorithm. But they've got you thinking you have, so that's half the battle won in their favour so far.

The house edge on blackjack is much smaller than roulette providing you follow perfect strategy....but the house will always have that edge, it's not something you can go into expecting any long term profit. You may get lucky, but the longer you play, the more likely you are to give everything you have won back.

We used to play 2 of the 1st/2nd or 3rd twelve, change them through out the night and double up on lost bets . Odds slightly in your favour and the spoils not as good

Didn't do to badly,

That only works if each spin is independent. Obviously every spin is .50 probability, however you stated that RRRRRRRRR is the same as a more random sequence, that is simply not true.
Vaud said a specific combo of red then black over and over, not a random sequence. RRRRRRRR has exactly the same chance as RBRBRBRB.

I like a bet now and again in an actual Casino.

Last month I was bored so jumped online and played 21. Never ever again will I play Casino online.

I was getting 19/20 and the house managed to get 21 quite a few times!
