Nigel Benn - boxer - quiet, polite, seemed like a nice guy
Shaun Williamson - outside a nightclub in Maidstone - chatted with a drunken group of us for ages, very nice guy.
Ronald Forfar - the father in the TV series Bread - at Euston station. I was behind him in the queue and he turned round and asked for the time. Chatted for a while, he was just like his character on TV, a proper scouser and funny and polite.
Michael Buerke - at Castle Combe in the late 1980's - he had a Morgan at the time - didn't really speak to him but he seemed very cool.
My dad is a jazz musician, in the 1970's we lived in Wiltshire. One night he brought Reg Quantrill (one of the original Wurzels) home after a gig they'd done together. There was then a very heavy snow storm and he ended up staying for a few days. I was about two at the time so don't remember, wish I did I loike them Wurrrzels!
Richard Burns - again at Castle Combe around 1991 (so he was very young at the time, and I was about 17) - he took me and a couple of other people for a few laps in an Audi 200 Quattro. Very quiet, very lovely chap, could really throw a big Audi around too, a sad loss.
Eddie Edwards - March 1988, just when he was still famous. Very nice, funny guy, just like he was / still is on TV. He posed for a photo for me...
Jodie Marsh, The only negative I have, I was around when she was waiting to make an appearance at a car show.
Within five seconds of her opening her massive trap I wanted to punt her right in the sponge!
My sister used to sometimes care for a young mentally handicapped boy who's number one hero / idol was David Beckham.
One day she was out with him and in a shop when D.B. walked in.
My sister asked him if he could sign an autograph for the boy, so D.B. picked him up, signed stuff and chatted with him for about 15 minutes. Top guy!

I've met.
Jon Anderson, lovely bloke quiet but nice chap.
Steve Howe, nice bloke again.
Rick Wakeman, just like his TV persona, and utterly charming and entertaining.
Lemmy, had a smoke and beer after a concert, he was great.
Phil and Eddie were surprisingly a little quieter than I expected, but not by much in the context of things.

Eric Sykes :- total gentlemen, lovely man.
Mike Reid :- horrible piece of work
We were just outside Estapona in a place called the Rib Shack and Mike and his wife came in. Lots of people bothered him but we didn't although he did notice that the mil had clocked who he was. They went for dinner and so did we and when we were finished we were sat at the bar when Mike and his wife walked by. he looked at the mil and said "Enjoy your meal darlin'" in that Frank Butcher voice. I think he appreciated the fact we didn't bother him at the start of the evening.
My Mum had some dealings with Colin Montgomerie at a golf tournament in the early 90's. She said he was the most foul mouthed areshole she'd ever met. Faldo was a stuck up, "its all about me" person. Stayed in the same hotel as sam Torrance when he won a tournament in the mid 1980s. At the sun night piss up , Woosnam was bouncing off the walls, pissed as a fart.
John Barnes - Served him on Christmas day in the shop I was working in at the time. Perfectly personable.
Sarah Beeny - Met her a few times, seemed ok, quite down to earth. Gave her a lift to the train station in my Lotus Elan.
Bruce Boxleitner - Attended a book signing in Manchester's Forbidden Planet, wished me happy birthday
Mary Peters - nice lady, very down to earth, can party with the best of them.

I was a member of a golf club that Faldo attended to have lessons as he was starting out on his career. Our pro was a chap called Ian Conelly. He was the guy who 'discovered' Faldo. We never spoke. But, I distinctly remember that Faldo owned a brown Capri with a vinyl black roof.I met Prince Charles who shook my hand whilst talking to a little dog. He asked how my local pub was, it was horrid but I told him it was great.
Jonathon Peel who was DJing at an event, I introduced myself and asked if he could play anything by The Jam, he did.
I kissed one of the Nolan sisters, the old one, she was sweaty and I’ve kissed Wendy Turner, the prettier sibling to Althea and I gave a fag to Jason Donovan who was trashed on stage.
On my pre-wedding dinner I saw at our hotel having dinner, but didn’t meet, Prunella Scales and her husband Timothy West.
The next day, our wedding night, most of the guests had retired to bed. I was up with my new sister in laws and a couple others when Razorlight walked in to the bar. I didn’t recognise them but their song America was at number one that week. I chatted with the singer for a while and their manager asked about our day and offered us VIP tickets to see them in concert the next night. We took up their offer, nice people.
My best man was the guitarist for The Freestylers.
Unless you subscribe to Autoexpress and watch Carbuyer (see YouTube) he may not be known to you but Mat Watson rang me the other night as I’m helping out with a Carbuyer video, track day at Bruntingthorpe in a SEAT Lean 280 Cupra, that’s quite surreal.
Goodness, I sound like a fantasist, but I seem to stumble upon folk now and again.

Charlie Dimmock - i.e. the rather large chested lady from that Ground Force gardening show the BBC had on several years ago. I was 16 and working in a garden centre on its opening day, and she was there to cut the ribbon and have some photos taken with pervy dads and such. I was having lunch in the staff canteen and she was came and sat next to me when she was having a break from the meet and greet stuff. Lovely lady, really friendly and outgoing. Had a nice chat whilst we ate and she did me an autograph for my next door neighbour who I knew was a fan/dirty old man.

Neil Armstrong - Initially reserved, then, lovely to my Wife. She disarmed him with a fearless but polite interest.
Charles 'Pete' Conrad - Too frickin cool for school. Aviators, flight-suit, the lot!
So that's the 1st and 3rd.
Aldrin is on the stalker list! I really hope to meet him one day.
I've met Aldrin, it was a few years ago but he was impossibly interesting. Seeing him again on TV the other day he seemed to have aged a lot since then, perhaps he just didn't like being on the telly.Charles 'Pete' Conrad - Too frickin cool for school. Aviators, flight-suit, the lot!

I've got tickets to see a Jim Lovell talk in November, there's a Q&A and meet n greet with photo op so genuinely rather excited. It's cost a small fortune to do it but I'm sure it'll be worth it.
