Cutting down on booze- experiences?
Discussion
It's all a balance.
I am blessed and cursed with a lively and inquiring mind.
If it doesn't have anything better to do, my brain will ask itself "why did they design that like that and how could it be better?" or "if the Greeks exit the Euro what would happen to x?" and so on. It can be tiring. Alcohol dials down the brain a little so I relax.
On the other hand, I am drinking alot less in the weekday evenings as I much prefer being sharp the following day.
Edited for spelling mistake.

I was at a work do thingy yesterday and quite literally forgot I wasn't drinking during the week. Had about 5 pints and woke up this morning feeling like utter ste. Luckily I can come and go from work as I please, so I've done the bare minimum and left for the day, I won't be drinking in the week ever again now - not sure how I managed to do it on a pretty much daily basis before and that's only a couple of weeks ago!

Going from my learning curve, I'd tend to agree. Not that I was pressured or thought I had to do it to have fun, I was enjoying myself, but I certainly won't be drinking as much as I did, ever again.
