If I may, this is what I think you should look like in a kilt:

I don't think those colours are going to hide the blood.

At my wedding in Glasgow,me and my best man, both English, were the only 2 adults in kilts, but SWMBO assures me that if she came down the aisle and saw that monstrosity, she would have turned tail and fled!!

Had the finishing touches added to my best man kilt outfit at the weekend, quick poll to see how offended the bride might be, I think it looks great.

Jesus Christ and all is a Holy in a Holy Week just shoot yourself now!

Really???? Did you need to ask?

Not only is it awful but it doesn't fit!

First knuckle on thumb? I assume you listened to the utter c**t that made it?

If you don't see some cuff on pretty much any jacket, then you deserved to be cuffed! Hard! And I don't mean some Adam Ant monstrosity.......

FFS? Is this thread a troll or wind up?

Sadly I expect that outfit was more expensive than a traditional one and it will probably get less use.

As someone said earlier, the kilt itself is OK, not my personal taste but it is alright, the matching waistcoat is a step too far, as is the sporran.

It might have worked with the jacket and waistcoat matching, all the yellow bits removed, and a fairly plain sporran. But then again maybe not.

You think it's sad that this kilt won't get much use? Weirdo biggrin

It's not even the colour combo (which is rank), it simply doesn't fit! Even if it was standard colours, it would still look crap because the wrong size, the cut is awful and the material looks horribly heavy so it's not even folding nicely when its creasing.

Sorry OP. Even forgetting the colours, I'd be extremely embarrassed to be wearing something so ill fitting.

Sorry, OP. The jacket's too big and the colour scheme's hideous.
Other than that, nah, you'll be fine.....

I could have worded that better, it is sad someone probably paid more for this than they would have for a more traditional outfit, I am hopeful that it will not get much (any) use. wink

Hopefully he's kicking the crap out of the 'tailor' that told him it was a good fit.
