Dissipating.......... piff paff puff....... nothing to see!
Disappointing here too - some very bright flashes, but a way off. Short, sharp burst of rain at 10pm helped cool down anyway!Tonight/tomorrow morning is the best time for storms - there's actually a yellow warning for large areas of northern England, especially the NE.

Well, the last skiing trip of the season has been cancelled after I screwed my ankle yesterday so no pics! The benefits of a northern European summer!Storms have already started over Devon and in to Zummerzet. More to come, looking at the radar: http://www.netweather.tv/index.cgi?action=radar;se...

Already 33C at Heathrow, UK July record is 36.5C (2006 Wisley) according to Met.
Chances?
There's a pretty stiff breeze 30 miles west of LHR, so although I want to say yes - I think it will miss.Chances?
27.8 in my back garden.
ETA - Met Office has revised their London forecast to 36, so maybe.... That would be the hottest Wimbledon day ever.
