The weekend will be pleasant in the southern half of the country, especially the SE. Mid 20s, but nothing more.

Don't believe the hype about getting hot again - that was a temporary blip on the charts, hence I didn't bring it to you.

Is that even possible?

<scrolls through the PH back catalogue of horrid ex-wife stories>

One degree above absolute zero it is then.

Enjoy today - the polar maritime air that has bugged us ALL YEAR sinks back over as we move through the weekend.

More southern areas might manage the odd waft of heat from the continent going forward, but things look pretty sucky.

FFS.

Looking out for the next heatwave!

What are we (particularly interested for North Wales!) looking at for next weekend? Will this polar air still be around making life miserable?!

Polar air? Think it's coming from somewhere else as we have finally got some warmer temperatures in the last day or so and up to a sweltering 19C or so! biggrin Makes a change from the 12C we've had up to now.

You have my sympathy! I'm nearly tempted to start packing the wool and down jacket away now, but afraid it's a false alarm for summer, biggrin Some friends were skiing a couple of days ago on some of the snow we still have left. Stupid messed up ankle destroying summer for me, laugh

First period of prolonged rain in West Berks for many weeks. Feels a bit odd.

My butt is grateful though.

Jet stream takes over this week. Cool and wet...

Tentative signs of a warm up starting at the weekend. Too far out to be certain...
