24 degrees possible on Weds - inland East Anglia looking like the favoured spot.

Warmer and drier than the Algarve, where I am irked
Family Blib are spending the week in Cratfield. AKA 'inland East Anglia".

Wall to wall sunshine here for over a week now - yesterday and today was a bit fresher, but warming up again in the coming week. Some pics from today's cliff walk.

Went out to grill yesterday. Opened up the Weber and a mouse stared back at me. Closed Weber and went back inside with my burgers.

I took the grill apart today and found that my mouse friend had set up a very impressive bachelor pad over the winter. He was still in his nest as I relocated him. The clean up has begun but it's going to take some time

So PH weather gurus, what's the general feeling on the summer as a whole?

Given the warm start to the spring, is this a sign of a 1976?

I can't help notice that high pressure wants to be the boss a lot lately.

As of last weekend the pizza oven is ready to go for the 'summer' season. Bring it on!

This weather is absolutely killing me. Working in Chancery Lane and the whole of the city is lovely and sunny!

And I can't really hit after work drinks - the single benefit to working in London? - as I'm studying for my chartership next month. frown

It's a good incentive not to fail, though - I can't spend the summer revising for a resit!

Stunning day today here in Guernsey, in some parts of the Island the mercury tipped 24.5 degrees. Spent most of the day in the garden - feels like I'm on holiday!

Turned the gas BBQ on this evening to burn off the old fat & mold that I should have done last year. It was rank.

Sorted now though, ready for the first cooking of the year tomorrow, can't wait.

We had 3x portable bbq's on the go outside the office for lunch on Tuesday and did burgers for a few staff at work, good turnout and 2 burgers each for £2.60 including buying the bbq's sauces & relish and all the food was a bargain compared to the sort of st food you'd get for the same money from the sandwich van!

Looks like London (and the South East??) should be getting wall to wall sunshine for the next 3 days, and hopefully get to 20 degs.

Which is nice.

I'm getting cheesed-off with people saying "it's nice the summer's here". IT'S NOT! It's just an abnormally warm spring. Mark my words, there'll be cold and rain 'ere the spring's over and summer's here.

Popped home for lunch today and took some snaps of the bay - astonishing light levels, the horizon was clear as a bell. Certainly feels like summer has arrived. wink

Yeah, yeah. I made the mistake of putting my shorts on to collect the kids from school, I managed half an hour in the park. And when I got the BBQ going later I noticed I could see my breath.

Summer had certainly arrived at the weekend! However it's now a mix of rain/snow conditions, so still have to wait for it to arrive properly!

In the 30s here in Florida and most unpleasant! Without AC and swimming pool this damned place would be intolerable. On the plus side, BBQs are a year round thing!
