There's a real state of flux at the moment due to being on the boundary between warm and wet weather. Hence why the South hasn't had a good or bad summer, and the NW has had a dreadful one. Has there been a North - South divide this summer. If so, where was the line drawn?

High pressure and very hot temperatures have prevailed in Europe most of the summer. The Atlantic has seen a lot of low pressure. These two areas have sat in equilibrium most of the summer. There hasn't been a fixed line, obviously, but it's swayed about. Occasionally it's even brought the cool, wet weather down to us

Can already hear distant rumbles of thunder off the coast of Brittany and heading our way. Local weather warnings in force for flash flooding. I wonder if it'll match the humdinger we had a couple of months ago. Tomorrow and Friday look proper wet with some forecasters predicting 50ml of rain.
