I think we can expect to see some warnings for rain on Sunday. Looking increasingly complicated, stormy and wet. We're not talking Altantic low with persistent high winds, but localised storms could create damaging winds.

The nature of these things is that you might get hit, you might not...

Anything available for next Saturday yet? I'm best man at a wedding near Henley and hoping it's not going to be pissing it down all day.

The weather all summer has been difficult to predict. Current indications from GFS are for more ambivalent weather. Bit of this, bit of that - neither one way or the other.

Hate to break it too you all, but I planned a BBQ for this Saturday a few weeks ago, hoping it would be warm.

So its got to rain now, and for that I apologise to the whole of the UK.

Fat chance. That chart only looks that way because they've run out of blue ink.

Agreed, forecast for here (Lancs) showing as 18 and rain for the next 7 days! BBC news forecast being a bit unsure about anything, depending on jet stream and what low does what, no-one seems to know what's coming other than 'some rain sometime'

Basically echoing the above comments - I've watched the BBC forecast a few times today for the upcoming days and the scenario seems to change on every forecast. fking useless. However, from what I can garner from other forecasts (for us anyway) tomorrow looks good with the temp shooting up in any clear spells. First half of Sat looks good too, and then basically it all goes tits up 'till at least Tuesday. smile

The reason the forecasts keep changing is the computers can't get a handle on it - it's a really complicated setup for the weekend and in to the week.

Good (manual) analysis here: http://www.netweather.tv/index.cgi?action=news;sto... (note the BH weekend forecast is pretty good!)

I'm not really bothered about the temperature, more about whether it's going to p*ss down. Current forecasts I'm seeing is that it will pour on both Sat and Sunday.

Sunday, absolutely. Saturday is very much a western fringes thing (which is sadly you...)

And disappointingly I am under a 3 line whip for a family bbq at her cousins in Basingstoke. The one day I want torrential rain it's going to be unbearably hot. cry

August continues to frustrate. Yesterday, glorious intense sunshine with a lovely sunset, likewise this morning, clear blue skies and very hot. However, now we have high cloud streaming over from France with the promise of thundery torrential downpours throughout late evening and then going into tomorrow morning.

Monday looking particularly nasty too.

Just cut the grass and I'm now dripping with sweat, hot and humid in Leicester. At least there's a chance that one of my tomatoes might ripen before winter.
