Been absolutely glorious here in the far east... The car showed 29* on the drive to Wells from Cromer.

The lightning bolts I had to dodge on the drive home tonight certainly surprised me.

Bit too warm for me yesterday, went for a walk around Saffron Walden with my other half in the morning but had to spend the afternoon indoors hiding from the temperature boxedin Still had a barbeque though.

Wow. The Beeb forecast was miles out today just a few hours ahead.

The plan was to go to Littlehampton for the annual bathtub race, but the local forecast when I got up was heavy rainfall over the timeframe. So we stayed at Port Solent (not many miles away) and watched the snooze fest that was the Belgian Grand Prix. The weather outside was ok the whole time, and I could have been watching a proper race instead of that excuse of an F1 race.

Kids are going back to school, which can only mean one thing. The weather will improve.

Bank Holiday will see improved weather, but still some rain around - especially for southern areas on Sunday. Then high pressure will start moving in - but - with a northerly wind to kick things off. Meaning dry, pleasant - but not hot.
