Grim wind blown drizzle here all day, but we went 10 miles inland and had a lovely spring day. Took coats etc, needed suncream...

Pork chops tonight, I think with an apple smoke.

For once I want it to be sunny today as I have new badges I need to photograph for my website and they look a lot better with a bit of sunshine.

Took a load yesterday and then discovered in the evening that I didn't have my memory card in the camera (rookie mistake), so I need to retake them today. BUT IT'S TOO BLOODY CLOUDY curse

Jeez! It is really blowing a Hoolie down here in Port Solent. The noise from the masts on the boats outside my balcony is deafening. The wind on the bare masts is making the boats list on the pontoons. Same again tomorrow looking at the forecast.

Come on summer!

Woken up at 5am by the sound of torrential rain and then some thunder.

I enjoy dramatic weather but I'm now bloody tired.

Would it be remiss of me to suggest that your reply is distinctly lacking in any pertinent detail Pug???!

Well, the hoolie continued today as forecast. One of the 40 foot Sunsail school boats moored just outside has had its spinnaker unwrapped and shredded and is now keeping me awake slapping and cracking like a whip In the wind. We have had white topped waves INSIDE the marina today, and I went for an after dinner walk and was being pushed around quite heavily in the wind. There are small branches of trees everywhere, so not a massive storm, but consistent high winds of a reported 40kts plus gusts.

It is amazing the groans and howls that come from the masts of the boats as well as the seeming assembly of rock drummers with only cowbells in their kit as the ropes slap the masts. Another noisy night here...

ETA: it wasn't a spinnaker - just watched them replace the jib. It was difficult to tell given the position and amount of shredded material flapping around last night. Pricey I guess...

You want detail? Have some warm orangey/red detail for next Tuesday!

Does one day count as a heatwave?
