It's a trademark symbol of thugs! hehe

I think they're quite okay and very comfortable. No need for ironing (or underwear!). Warm too! wink

In the US, the other tracksuit unit-shifter is hip-hop. Suits you, madam (Missy Elliot)! biggrin

Why don't you cosy comfort lovers go the whole hog and get a few onesies. All very welcome at your local bargain booze.

Yep wear them all the time, always walking my dogs, sneaking in a quick home gym workout/playing with kids etc

Wear them down the shops, popping round houses, running errands

Even have some alful Air Max trainers to go with them and other hideous trainers.

Don't wear them for social occasions/restaurants or similar, but anything else is fair game.

My brother and his GF looked absolutely horrified once when I turned up at the cinema in a full tracksuit once and haven't met me since!!

Don't really care what people think, lifes too short, if people think I'm a chav then so be it, if they want to look down on me, more the fool them, I don't care
. Ironically when not wearing them I dress quite smart, one extreme or another with me!

It makes me laugh round my house , you have loads fellas who wear tucked in shirts to smart jeans when doing DIY/cutting grass/painting house etc !!

Ordinary im a suit and tie man during the day and a jeans/shirt man in the eves

Of late, I've rediscovered how comfy a nice pair of jogging bottoms can be.....and then I've further discovered the delights of a top in a similar light fleecy material

The only trouble is sportswear tends to be the exclusive uniform of chav and this is not the image I want......so is it doable without looking chavvy?
OP,

3 piece suit man here.

Soon as I am home, joggers are on!

These are great - http://www.canterbury.com/cuffed-stadium-pant-blac...

Cheap ones are a bit council, you know.

You want the Adidas (Taekwondo Martial Arts Shoes) version.

As a general rule I won't leave the house wearing jogging bottoms.
I think putting the bins out is as far as I would go.

I wear straight legged tracksuit bottoms to walk or cycle to and from playing outdoor 5-a-side football and occasionally round the house at weekend, but would never entertain the elasticated ankle, ever.

A small part of me dies every time I see a shabby looking slummy mummy down the shops in a grey marl - always grey marl - set of elasticated bottomed joggers, it basically says "I've pretty much given up".

I own several hoodies and tracksuit tops which I wear all the time - sporting a rather natty Ralph Lauren one as I type - but never in combo with tracky bottoms.

What's wrong with trousers and a shirt inside? Boiler suit in the shed? I would take slight discomfort over looking like a mall-dweller any day thanks.
But no one is going to see you... So you might as well take advantage of that fact and enjoy the slight improvement in comfort.
I will know. And part of me will die inside.

Anyone remember these addidas tracksuits of the late 1990s made froma polyester type material and with the popper buttons along the legs?

The pinnacle of trackie excellence, and perfect for "de-bagging" your chavvy mates

You can't beat trackies around the house for comfort.

I have to say, I've gone from

"around the house only" to

"around the house.....and if I need to nip to the local takeaway"

I refuse to wear tracksuit tops or sports sweatshirts however.

A friend swears by them on planes when going on holiday long-haul. That's a step too far for me biggrin

I had some 'popper pants' in then 1990's... But I was a teenager at the time!

They were actually not very comfortable as the poppers all the way down were obviously hard plastic and there used to be a terrible draught through the sides when it was cold...

I had a pair of those, I can remember every time you wore them at PE someone would always sneak up behind you and rip them open laugh

today (early 30's) i often wear nike tracksuit trousers when walking the dogs. They're plain, I can't remember if they're black or dark blue. They're far more comfortable than jeans and sometimes early or late its a bit cold for shorts. Occasionally I'll go out running with one of my dogs and its handy to have a zip pocket to keep my house keys in.

I'm always in them outside of work tbh, just so comfortable. Unless I'm seeing people to go somewhere I'm even in them when I'm going shopping or popping into town on my own.
I don't have any gold teeth or wear a baseball cap though, maybe that is where i'm going right or failing?

If you must wear them then has to be Hollister.

I mean, it's just so important to let the whole fking world know what brand of chav-tat you're wearing that it has to be written in 6 inch lettering up one whole leg.

At least I can see who to avoid at a distance I suppose...
