Anybody have one? Are they good, bad or otherwise?

I'd like one for many reasons but don't want to buy one if they're not all that - sadly, they're no longer made in the UK, just 'finished' in the UK.

Feedback welcomed.

I quite like them but I find them a rather 'slim' fit and I unfortunately can no longer shoe horn myself into them.

Didn't like them and preferred TM Lewin ones day to day.

Tbh go try everyones on, suits are very much a personal thing.

Tend to prefer Ted Baker myself, but they're a good tailored fit. Trousers are a bit on the baggy side for me and my noodle legs

I just threw one out, actually, it was a well fitting suit for the more.... "slender frame" that I had when I bought it, but in general the ones I tried did seem to ere on the smaller side. It seemed well made and took being well used in its stride, it looked smart too, to my eyes.

But as mentioned above I prefer Ted Bakers stuff, in terms of feel/quality. I recently bought so only time will tell how well it stands up to being well used, if its as good as the Paul Smith one I'd be happy.

I have a Ted Baker suit as a day-to-day office suit, and I can honestly say it has not stood up well and has worn badly.

I'm a bit embarrassed I ever bought it.

Are you far from Bicester village?
Paul smith outlet there as well as many many others in one location.
Good place to try and compare.
My favourites are the Ralph Lauren purple lables.
Not a massive selection but often discounted from
£2500 to about £300.

I've got one as a special-occasion suit - interviews/weddings etc. No complaints on the quality and it fits well - I'm a distance runner so lean and narrow (5'11", 68-70kg). As others have said, try before you buy.

I don't wear suits for work so have no need of a day-to-day suit and can't comment on how hard-wearing they are.

I've found the same, had 2 Ted Baker suits now, and neither has lasted longer than 12-18 months before being deemed fit for the bin. I won't be buying a third from them.

Agree. But I don't want to be trying suits which will fall apart in 18 months.

One of the best suits I've had is a Paul Smith suit. Looks and feels great even after 4 years. Like Ted Baker but don't last as well. TM Lewin are also decent.

They fit well if you're fairly trim. Don't take a massive amount of abuse though.

Get them at their Mayfair shop, genuine 50% off in normal sizes.

Not in my opinion, piss poor. And yet, their shirts wear well and fit me well.

Of course, this being PH I should be having bespoke shirts made from cotton money can't buy.

I chose my paul smith suit a couple of years ago specifically because it was slim cut- being whippet thin, most brands just didn't (and still don't, and if anything it is now worse) fit right.

The only ones that looked good on me from the ones I tried were paul smith, dolce & gabbana, and tom ford.

FYI: Mine was purchased in 2012 and was made in Italy.
