I keep meaning to locate one as I need a larger drum capacity that my machine at home, don't think there are any near me though.

Suspect I won't be welcome as I only want to wash the mats from my station-shed S-type, they were a beige colour but are now very far from that after the winter.

Thats mental?

I put mine in the washer dryer and they are done within two hours.
It isn't mental when your dryer is broken and you rent, so negotiating a day off work solely so the fella can attend takes some doing.

Not that we'd ever go back to doing them ourselves for the sake of £13.50, mind. In that way it's done us a favour I suppose. Particularly as washing, drying and ironing - dear god, the ironing - always took me longer than two hours. And I'm good at ironing, but could never get the results the launderette people get.

I was driving home from work last night around midnight and drove past one, noticed inside three people having a mini rave. Had to laugh.
Back in my Uni days I would regularly use the local laundrette. It was an unmanned one and quite often it'd turn into a mini social occasion. Never got round to anyone taking a Brixton Briefcase there but quite a few parties were conceived and started there (and no kids, although it did get a bit close for a mate of mine once hehe )!

It must be close to 30 years since I last used one but I can still remember the smell smile

If there was one near me, I'd move.

No, but a cleaner person wanted more to clean our king size duvet than we could buy a new one for.
