Anyone used a Launderette recently?
Discussion
I keep meaning to locate one as I need a larger drum capacity that my machine at home, don't think there are any near me though.
Suspect I won't be welcome as I only want to wash the mats from my station-shed S-type, they were a beige colour but are now very far from that after the winter.

Thats mental?
I put mine in the washer dryer and they are done within two hours.
It isn't mental when your dryer is broken and you rent, so negotiating a day off work solely so the fella can attend takes some doing.I put mine in the washer dryer and they are done within two hours.
Not that we'd ever go back to doing them ourselves for the sake of £13.50, mind. In that way it's done us a favour I suppose. Particularly as washing, drying and ironing - dear god, the ironing - always took me longer than two hours. And I'm good at ironing, but could never get the results the launderette people get.

I was driving home from work last night around midnight and drove past one, noticed inside three people having a mini rave. Had to laugh.
Back in my Uni days I would regularly use the local laundrette. It was an unmanned one and quite often it'd turn into a mini social occasion. Never got round to anyone taking a Brixton Briefcase there but quite a few parties were conceived and started there (and no kids, although it did get a bit close for a mate of mine once )!Gassing Station | The Lounge | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
